Product Details

Denovo Audio Knock-Down MDF 1.16 cu. ft. Tower Speaker Cabinet

CNC knock-down cabinets make it easy for the beginner to end up with amazing finished results without all of the time and effort necessary to perfect your woodworking skills, perfect for DIYers without expensive tools or access to a woodshop.

During the CNC process, dadoes are cut into the top, bottom, and rear panels to ensure a tight, secure fit that maximizes the gluing surface and making assembly that much easier. This tower cabinet allows you to create your very own front left or right tower speaker... or even a large format center channel speaker! Three included window braces add structural integrity while consuming as little internal volume as possible.

Additionally, users can mount side-firing a woofer (up to 8" maximum is recommended) for a modern 3-way design. The end result is a speaker cabinet that assembles in no time flat—all you need are wood clamps, wood glue, and about five minutes; no screws needed.

Note: Panel dimensions and a 3D SketchUp model are included in the Manuals/Resources section. To open and use the 3D model, you need to download and install a program to unzip the file (7-Zip is free and recommended) and then download and install SketchUp to open the .skp file.

Denovo Audio Knock-Down MDF 1.16 cu. ft. Tower Speaker Cabinet
Denovo Audio Knock-Down MDF 1.16 cu. ft. Tower Speaker Cabinet is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from About what I expectedI found these cabinets easy to assemble. I used the rear panel to hold the braces in place while I applied glue to the side panels. I'll finish gluing on the rear and front panels after I drill vent hole and apply my finish to the front baffle.I didn't have to use a mallet but clamps help to hold things in place while the glue sets up. I used plain yellow wood glue.

What would be the best setup to use these cabinets with two Dayton ND140'S in one is sealed or ported?  Also same question but with HIVI M6N's two in each box?  Just trying to figure the best balance using HiVi RT1C-A as the high end.

Asked by: Steve007
Vented would be better for either option. The HiVi's look better in that volume with a 3" diameter, 6" long port for a tuning frequency of 44 Hz.

Hi. I just want to confirm that this product does not have any cut outs for the speakers? I have to jigsaw holes for the drivers yes?  Thanks so much

Can an 8 inch woofer fit this cabinet

Asked by: Autumnboy
An 8" will be a tight fit since the baffle is 8" in diameter and has rounded edges. You could mount the drivers on the side of the cabinet and use that as the front, but one side will have rounded edges and the other wont.

Hello, are any of the panels rounded over or are they all 90 degree square corners? If any are rounded over, which ones?

Asked by: skalos
