Dayton Audio SWDC12 Dual 12" Subwoofer Cabinet Gray Vinyl
I have one Dayton Audio RSS315HO-4 12" Reference HO Subwoofer 4 Ohm, will two of these woofers work well in this cabinet?
They will work in the cabinet, but may present too low of an impedance load for most amps. The 8 ohm version of that driver is recommended because of the impedance.

HO HF drivers
2 part question. Can't you wire two 4 ohm drivers and come up with a 4 ohm load?2nd question: Can you use an HF and a HO driver?
Unfortunately no you cannot wire two 4 ohm drivers back to 4 ohms. We also do not recommend using two different drivers in the same enclosure.

So, which 12" woofer from Parts Express is best to use here?
This cabinet is designed to work best with two of the Dayton Audio RSS315HFA-8s which are listed below.

What's the overall mounting depth for the subwoofers? What's the internal volume - after subtracting all of the braces and whatnot? And last but not least, is there a port, and if so, what is the size/shape?
This item is a 2.1ft³ sealed enclosure. It is not ported. The internal volume of 2.1ft³ is calculated "as-is," with the cabinet just as you see it here. Removing bracing would change the overall internal volume, but I don't have a specification as to how much internal volume said bracing occupies. The recess for the subwoofers is 1" deep.

Would it be recommended to wire the subs in a push/pull orientation?
what to do with 2.1 cuft , two 12 in woofer holes and a ten by ten hole; OPTIONS; recommended dayton 12 inchers and plate amp works well 12's pointed outward..stock. OPTION 2 ,use other woofers that align with cabinet size or close to it . now the idea of push pull comes in to play it increases the cabinet size slightly ie volume of cones pointing inward [one or both] this depends on volume needed .Make ten by ten plate and mount port[s] to plate to match internal dimensions of woofers ,ah more math , external sub amp mounting. OPTION 3; 12 Inch woofer with passive radiator sub amp installed ,good overall design idea! possible idea t3 or tc sound with passive might line up with this cabinet and go boom! DIYer! do some thinking, 10 by10 hole could turn into cabinet tuning extension with port[s] or the amp mount [ did both last week to correct cabinet volume] A black box extension 5 by10by10in for old mtx 12, looks factory rattles the home! YOUR IMAGINATION PLUS PARTS/EXPRESS,PARTS===AWESOME,COST EFFECTIVE AUDIO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THESE ARE MY OPINIONS!

Turn amplifier bulkhead into a "window" brace to add 0.75 cu. ft?
Wondering about the advisability of cutting holes in the bulkhead that separates the main enclosure from the plate amp chamber (like the other brace) to add the amp chamber volume (about 0.75 cubic feet) to the 2.1 cubic feet of the main enclosure. I'm not planning on using the SPA plate amps -- I already have 2 of the SA1000s -- I was going to close off the cutout for the plate amp with 3/4" MDF bonded to 1/4" plywood.I know the increased volume will somewhat lower the Q of the enclosure. Any advantages or disadvantages to my plan? Thanks in advance!
build the box to fit the amp mount and liquid nail and screw from the inside for correct spec alignment , and port the parasite box to tune the chamber.. excellent idea
