Dayton Audio Shadow Mount HM3260 Hanger Style TV Wall Mount 32"-60"

Four screws are all it takes to attach your HDTV to the wall if you use hanger style Shadow Mounts from Dayton Audio. These simple, strong, easily installed hangers hold 100 lb. TVs with ease, and need less than 1/2" clearance from the wall.

Using the included hardware and bubble level, mount the rail to your wall, then install two hanger clips on the back of the TV and set the clips into the rail. Quick cable connection is facilitated by the integrated kick stands that fasten to the lower VESA mounting points on your TV. Simply flip out the kick stands, and your TV is placed at a slight upward angle while you work. It really doesn't get any easier than this!

Specifications: • Mounting rail dimensions: 25.4" W x 2.3" H • Distance from wall to back of TV: 0.4" • VESA sizes supported: Up to 600 mm W x 400 mm H • Maximum weight capacity: 100 lbs.

Note: Applicable television size ranges are based on VESA standards and will fit the listed screen sizes. To ensure that this specific TV mount is not exposed behind your TV, identify the length and width of your specific TV and be sure that the mounting bracket, plate, and or articulating arm does not extend beyond your television’s measurements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Inexpensive solution for hanging an LED 60" = Fantastic! In the past, I've used the bulky/traditional hanging brackets that range from $60-$150, so when I saw this simple bracket for a fraction of the cost I was a little hesitant. But I'm so glad I gave it a chance! I used this to hang my Samsung LED 60" UN60ES7100FXZA. The TV itself weights about 45 lbs and the bracket is rated at 100 lbs. The product came with all the hardware needed to hang the bracket on the wall (including a small leveler-extra bonus) and universal screws to attach the TV hanging brackets on the back of the TV. (One note: The bracket leaves very little space behind the Tv for wires/plugs. So I had to use the provided long screws and purchased a few washers/spacers to put in between the TV and the hanging brackets so that I could have enough space to plug in the TV.) Installation was fairly easy, I used a drill to pre drill two holes, a second pair of hands is necessary to hold the bracket in place for marking and of course the included handy dandy leveler. Attached the brackets to the back of the TV and slid it on. BTW, if you have cabinets or side walls on either side of the TV wall where the bracket will be placed, be aware, as you need enough space on either side of the wall to slide in the TV from the left or right side. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase, the bracket is simple to put up and is less expensive than the alternative. Thank you Parts Express!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best general purpose mount I have usedThis past weekend I used this mount with a Samsung 43" plasma. In the future, this will be my first choice mount. For the price and the amount of space it takes up, I don't mind keeping one or two in inventory. My main concern was whether this mount would give me enough room between the back of the TV and the wall for the cables. I had not seen the TV and couldn't tell from the product's documentation how much clearance I would need.(Incidentally, it's a pet peeve of mine that all TV manufacturers don't just make all the cables exit vertically!)I wound up using the large spacers that were sold with the mount to give me a little extra clearance. They provided more than enough clearance. I considered trimming them a little shorter but it looked so nice as-is I decided not to fool around. The mount looks better than traditional mounts when viewed from the side - you don't have to look at the mount.I saw one BIG advantage with this mount versus the traditional style. I always have to work around either two single gang boxes (one for power, one for audio / video cables) or one dual-voltage double-gang box. It never fails, the wall bracket ALWAYS got in the way of one, or the other, or both, and you wound up with the edge of a box visible from some angles, which spoils the ultra-clean look of a wall mounted TV. With this bracket, you don't have so much sheet metal in the way. When I saw this mount on the web site, I was unconcerned regarding strength, but I was a little worried that the TV could be bumped out of the bracket. The velcro handles this nicely; I tested it to make sure, and it was very solidly locked into the bracket.Minor gripe: the TV wound up centered directly over a stud. The one spot where the bracket doesn't have a mounting hole - dead center! I always like to hit at least one stud, just to be extra secure. I didn't like the idea of placing the TV off center on the bracket so I could hit a stud. Of course if I was worried about it, I would have just drilled a hole in the sheet metal. I used two Toggler 1/4-20's which are rated for way more weight than this TV will put on them, and I am confident it is very secure on the wall. Now in another sense this mount is not very secure: a traditional mount does seem more resistant to tampering or theft, so for public areas in commercial installs, I would not use this mount. The kickstands are nice. Invariably I wind up fiddling with the connections once or twice before it's all said and done. Pain in the neck and I often wind up making a mark on the wall trying to squeeze dirty hands behind the TV. With the kickstands, you can get back there comfortably.I will probably use this mount for more than half my installs in the future. I'll use traditional mounts in public areas for greater security as I mentioned, and where easy tilt adjustments are necessary.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value for meMy mounting situation is unusual, and I thought about buying steel rails, etc., from Home Depot and making a custom mount. However, most steel products that might be suitable or adaptable cost more than this thing cost. I found the build quality to be good, and it worked fine for my needs. The gauge of the steel was heavier than I expected. The tilt-out feature is something I don't need, so I could not say if that is workable. See my question in the Q&A about hanging the full weight of the TV on only two mounting screws.BTW, I don't understand the reviewer who seemed to have such a difficult time with this. The supplied hardware is fine, and I made my TV hang level by measuring many times before I cut holes.

Dayton Audio Shadow Mount HM3260 Hanger Style TV Wall Mount 32"-60"

I have a Sony 65" 4k no side speakers weight 82 Lbs with vest 600X400.  Can this be mounted safely to a wall stud or is this weight too close to manufacturers 100 Lb limit?

Asked by: jmackey
The stated weight limits are generally conservative, so I don't think there is a problem with a set weighting 82 lbs. The wall bracket should be securely attached to two wall studs, the standard is that they are spaced 16" apart on center.

How would you use this kit with drywall/metal stud walls?

Asked by: Cyberlou
In order to use this with mental studs or raw drywall I would recommend using a type of anchor that grips the back of the drywall. These are available at any local hardware store.

Will this mount work with a 75" tv or what is your recommendation.

Asked by: Spud
This will work as long as the mounting holes on the back of the TV are spaced properly and the weight is within the limit of the mount.

Using this mount means the entire weight of the TV is on the top two screws of the TV's VESA pattern. Is this safe?

My TV is a Panasonic 42-inch and weighs 38 lb. Only the top two screw holes will be bearing the weight with this mount. Can the TV tolerate that?
Asked by: rhollingsworth
This question is better suited for the TV manufacture however the screw holes are part of a metal frame that supports the entire TV so it should be strong enough. A TV that is only 38 lbs will not put much stress on a set of machine screws.
