The superb performance of these speakers is guaranteed; the choice of which one is for you should be based on cabinet size, output requirements, driver preference, and personal cosmetic appeal. Although Dayton Audio kits can be assembled by a beginner in one or two hours, the speaker systems' acoustical performance reveals their superb technical pedigree.
Since these speakers are in kit form, you will realize substantial savings by building them yourself. All woodworking has been done; assembly consists of securing drivers and ports, attaching damping materials, and wiring the crossovers and drivers. The process does not require expensive tools or measurement equipment—a general knowledge of electronics is helpful but not required. Crossover networks are completely pre-assembled and ready to connect to the drivers and input terminals using the supplied wires and push-on terminals. No soldering required!
