Dayton Audio RS180S-8 7" Reference Shielded Woofer 8 Ohm
I'm looking for a 7" mid woof for a Mission 700 two way from the '80s. The Mission's are 6ohm but all the 7" 6ohm options are too expensive. Would a 8 work ok as a replacement or would the internal c/o blow it or my 50 watt amp?
Edit to above question:I want to know if I can replace the 7" 6ohm speaker with a 7" 8ohm speaker.

Hi Apart from the RS722 speakers, are there any two way projects which could use this woofer paired with the Dayton DC28 or Dayton RS28 tweeter? And would the Dayton XO2W-2K crossover be OK? My amp can't cope with4 ohms. Thank you Geoff

how would these sound 2 in each car door crossed at 80 hz ?
hello what would the sealed box size be on 2 of these in a sealed encloser?i would have these paired with a dayton rs28f silk tweeter, these would be low passed around 80 hz and somewhere around 16k hz.thanks Brian
They would sound fine. You could prob cross them lower if you are using a 3rd order or preferably 4th order crossover. If you are using it in an infinite baffle application you should use a steep slope on a speaker with a low qts to protect it from over excursion in the sub bass frequencies.
