Dayton Audio RS1202A 1000 Watt Dual 12" Subwoofer System Assembled

Being a mono system, will it reproduce left and right input signals? I am not an audiophile so pardon my ignorance! My understanding of a mono system tells me it will, correct? Thank you in advance. A brief description of a mono system may help.

Asked by: Tomane
Most powered subwoofers will combine stereo into mono with the only exception being in systems that actually have stereo subwoofer outputs which is rare. This subwoofer will take either left and right inputs and combine them together, or if you are using the subwoofer output on the receiver which sends a mono signal anyway.

Demo?

Is there somewhere you can demo this product? I would like to hear it before I spend this much on something.
Asked by: CO Austin
Unfortunately we do not have this unit available for demo.

How does this product compare, SPL-wise, to the Dayton Audio T1503A 15"?

I'm curious in terms of the raw power of this subwoofer compared to the Dayton Audio T1503A 15".
Asked by: spowers
Modeled outputs for both subwoofers with 1000 watts are identical. The Reference kit will be doing less work to get there however which equals less distortion and better overall dynamic headroom.

How does this subwoofer handle inputs?

Since it has 2 drivers, does the left input reach one driver and the other input reaches the other driver? or do they get mixed into one channel?
Asked by: DDRRE
This is a mono subwoofer (as are all Dayton Audio finished subwoofers and plate amplifiers). If a stereo signal is input, it is summed to a mono signal before being sent to the subwoofers.
