Dayton Audio PM105 Projector Mount with 5" Extension

Shadow Mounts, by Dayton Audio, places the focus on the performance of the equipment—not the mount. Flat black paint is used to reduce the occurrence of distractions generated by a shiny finish. Extruded aluminum construction provides extreme rigidity with modern styling, and the universal nature of the mount designs allows them to be configured to accommodate three of four mounting holes for compatibility with nearly every projector on the market. 30° of tilt and 360° of swivel allow for easy adjustments and quick setup time. Instructions and mounting hardware are included. The PM105 is a fixed projector mount with a ceiling to projector distance of 5.3".

Dimensions and Specifications: • Mounting arm span: 7.2" (182 mm) • Projector to ceiling distance: 5.3" (135 mm) • Tilt adjustment: ±15° • Swivel adjustment: ±180° • Maximum weight capacity: 33 lbs. (15 kg).

Dayton Audio PM105 Projector Mount with 5" Extension
Dayton Audio PM105 Projector Mount with 5" Extension is rated 3.1111 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's 35$, What did I expect.First and formost, it is solid. Great selection of hardware and if you have ever used any of the Shadow Mounts from PE, you will have it together in minutes. With that being said, it is virtually unadjustable. You have about a 6" horizontal field in which the projector glides around so you can fine tune distance from the screen or left/right positioning. There is no way to adjust this to correct for a slight tilt left/right or up/down. I have a textured ceiling and that slight of an offset made a huge difference in the throw of the projector. So, in less you are using this in a brand new installation where you have ideal conditions, spend the $100 and get the Sanus.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Inexpensive purchasePurchased this product to avoid paying for the more expensive models that I found. Needed to make numerous modifications to make it fit my projector. Plus it constantly needed adjustments to maintain the aim of the picture on my screen. Will keep working with it to get it right,

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hard to setupPRO'sIt's cheapIt works if you like to keep adjusting your projector.Con'sIt is hard to set upIt will not keep your projectors position without mods..My theater room rocks, I could never keep my projector stable to the screen after a few movies it would have to be adjusted again. In my opinion all cheap mounts are the same. Save yourself time and get a better model.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked After AlterationThis mount was not really designed for the large, heavy Epson 8350 projector with wide spaced mounting holes, but I was able to make it work. I cut a piece of 1/4 inch pressed hardboard as an interface between the ceiling mount and the projector. It actually looks pretty good and provided a solid connection between the mount and the projector. The mount is plenty strong and holds the projector right where it needs to be. As mentioned by other reviewers, you need to tighten the center ball screw. You can pay a lot a lot more for a fancier mount, but this one does the job.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great ProductThis is a great basic projector mount, does the trick when the budget is tight. Does exactly what it is supposed to, very simple to assemble, and very sturdy. The only flaw I can find is that that it has have no position adjustments, but I knew that when I bought it. It would be great if there were a version with some tilt and pitch adjustments that still offered the same type of value.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Really bad documentation...I suppose you can't complain for the money, but what you are buying with this product is a box with about two dozen different types of screws, washers, little clips and so forth, with an almost indecipherable manual (it reads like it was automatically translated from another language). It can't be easy designing a product that fits every projector out there, but still. The actual quality of the product is fine. Black screws would be nice (they would show up less against the other metal parts), but I don't expect miracles. There is a design flaw in the locking nut, which requires you to assemble everything, adjust the projector, then partially disassemble everything to tighten the locking nut. The mount did not fit my projector perfectly, it was a bit of a fudge at best (I'm sure it will do, however). Again, huge partsexpress fan, not 100% satisfied with the design and manual.
