Product Details

Dayton Audio DTA-1AR Wireless Class T Digital Mini Amplifier/Receiver 15 WPC

Dayton Audio cuts the cord holding your stereo system back with the DTA-1AR wireless mini amplifier receiver. When used wirelessly with the DTA-1T transmitter (included with the Dayton Audio DTA-1W; sold separately), true stereo sound is sent to the DTA-1AR amplifier/receiver via a 2.4 GHz signal while maintaining 20-20,000 Hz (-3 dB) frequency response. Up to 16 additional DTA-1ARs can be used with a single DTA-1T for increasing the size of your wireless system.

Built upon the tried-and-true Class T amplifier design, this system exhibits the same high-fidelity audio quality that audiophiles have come to love while remaining compact. The DTA-1AR is also a stand alone amplifier with local 3.5 mm input and is able to run off eight AA batteries (not included) or the included power supply. Rear mounted spring-loaded terminals make speaker connection quick and easy.

Includes a 6 in. 3.5 mm coiled male-to-male cable for making connections to iPods, MP3 players, PCs, portable CD or DVD players, and smartphones. Power supply included.

Dayton Audio DTA-1AR Wireless Class T Digital Mini Amplifier/Receiver 15 WPC is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pocket Rocket!I put in the required 8- AA batteries, hooked up a pair of 22 year old Realistic Nova-16's and my ipod... Couldn't believe the soundstage and clarity I was hearing! Best 50 bucks I've spent in a long time. This little amp blew away my expectations. Bravo!

Dayton Audio DTA-1AR Wireless Class T Digital Mini Amplifier/Receiver 15 WPC

Can I bridge the left and right outputs and use one amp per speaker (8ohm)?

Asked by: tofunater
This amplifier cannot be bridged, and none of the leads can be connected to each other.

Can the output be used to connect to headphones? (Can the "negative" speaker outputs be commoned?)

Asked by: nedw
NO. These are cheap 1-chip amplifiers with discrete floating outputs. Would be nice, though-it would require a buffer-amp and headphone connector.I haven't tried this one thing, may work: try connecting headphones using L & R and just one common connection....
