Rated 5 out of 5 by from a good buyuse in biampinge, excellent dynamic range - it is impossible to overload. Thanks partexpress for assistance and advice on the project. Amplifier is built on a 4-tda7293, active crossover frequency - 2kHz. I want to do the next project on discrete elements and speakers based on DS175-8 6-1/2 "and Vifa NE25VTS-04 1."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little speaker! These were purchased to replace the woofers in a set of JBL bookshelf speakers in which the foam surround had dried up and gone away. These are actually a better speaker than what the JBL boxes had in them to begin with. Installation was fairly easy. The cutouts for the original speakers was about 1/4" too small for the frame to drop into, so a bit of work with the Dremel tool was necessary. I was actually surprised at how good they sounded once everything was back together! Much better than I expected, all around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Drop in change with great full soundIn redoing a circa 1990 set of Optimus 950 3-ways, I found that all the mid surrounds were gone. Instead of buying new surrounds, I picked up a pair of these, dropped them in, hooked them up and screwed them down in their sealed compartment. The magnets were 2X heavy and sound is more than 2 x better. A great purchase. As my cabinets were in great shape, they look & sound like new speakers. The T-S specs with their low Qts really helps with a full sound.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dayton Audio DS135-8 5" WooferI was gifted a set of "Trilogy" Loudspeakers, a sub/sat system from the early 70's. The satellites featured a 5-1/8" butyl-surround woofer in each, and each of the two had skimmed voice-coils. As the Trilogy manufacturer has been gone for almost 40 years, I thought it might be impossible to replace them. These replacements are nearly identical in all respects; freq. response, impedance, low-end rolloff, appearance, and high-end roll-off. They make an oldie but goodie speaker system sing with a new voice.

When trying to match efficiency ratings to avoid the use of L pads, what is the difference between the 2.83V/1 Meter and 1 Watt/1 Meter ratings?

Asked by: 007shark
2.83v into an 8 ohm load is the same as 1 watt. 2.83v into a 4 ohm load is the same as two watts.
