Dayton Audio DMPC-10 10uF 250V Polypropylene Capacitor
Dayton Audio DMPC-10 10uF 250V Polypropylene Capacitor is rated 4.6957 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great productI purchased four of these a few weeks ago to use with the Vifa ne25vts-04 1' silk dome tweeters, after I bought the tweeters I did not know what type of capacitor to use with them and one call to PE and spoke to their tech and he told me exactly which on to get. These capacitors block all the bass from the tweeters all you hear is just good clean sound coming from the tweeters, great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Realistic Mach One midranges (40-4024/A)This 10uF Dayton Audio capacitor is a good choice to update the original stock caps for the Realistic Mach One (40-4024, 40-4024A) midrange horns. These will bring back the accuracy and detail with surprising results. For the price, you have nothing to lose and have everything to gain from your vintage speakers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expectedReplaced 22 yr old generic electrolytes (4.7 and 10uf) in rec room monkey coffins. Did one speaker first for comparison, and was shocked with a solid 20% increase in high/mids clarity. With clarity comes efficiency as in lower volume levels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fot EPI T/E 100'sGet you tweeter high tone back. Used in conjunction with a Audiocap PPT Theta 0.01uF 600V Film/Foil Capacitor , will improve the performance of your old speakers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Re-Cap NewbieI recapped my recently aquired DLK 2's and they still worked after the procedure. How ever I didn't really notice any immediate improvement in sound. But my ears are badly damaged from driving a tank in Vietnam so maybe I am at a disadvantage.I have a pair of Pioneer CS-63DX's that I have ordered caps for so I will try again. These caps sure have a large following!

Dayton Audio DMPC-10 10uF 250V Polypropylene Capacitor

Is it possible to use this cap in place of a 10uf 100volt poly cap? I question the voltage rating.

Asked by: mstephen
Yes this will work fine in place of a 100v cap. The voltage does not matter as long as it is the same or higher than the original.

Is there any way to identify the polarity on these caps or does it not matter?

I'm using these to replace the caps in my speaker crossovers
Asked by: KSchmider
As far as I know, The various plastic caps do NOT have polarity as do Tantalum and Aluminum Electrolytics. Of course there may be some higher and fewer, golden-ear reason that I'm not aware of to pay attention orientation...
