Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is amazingI have used both the D5 and the Fader F5 on a number of audio units and turns a sick one in to a great working unit. Fixed a Crown DC150 power amp that was being used as a door stop I got for $5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DeoxIT is a necessity for the serious audio D-I-YAfter researching what to do with several scratchy volume and tone controls, I decided to purchase the DeoxIT FaderLube. I am so pleased to have my vintage stereos free of the annoying dust and oxide demons! Simply worth it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DeoxITUsed to spray the volume pots on a QSC 850 power amp. Seems to have worked o.k. so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DeoxIT Fader Lube corrects noisy potsAfter using a couple of cheaper products on problematic audio potentiometers without long lasting success I went with the well known DeoxIT brand. I should have started with this and saved myself a lot of time. It cleans the pots well and leaves a lubricating film behind that has staying power. The pots feel smooth and all the crackling is gone. The F5S-H6 spray works flawlessly. Don't get carried away as a short blast is all that each pot needs and one application appears to last for a very long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super cleanerBest stuff on the market for cleaning scratch sounding audio pots. Also works excellent on EQ sliders to eliminate noise.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from a good cleanerAll of the DeOxit products will work for most lubricating and mild cleaning situations. Don't expect to clean years of oxidation off of parts with this line of products, or any other. As with any circuit, in order for it to work correctly, it must have clean, non-corrosive contacts on all mechanical connections. Also, the connections must have sufficient pressure at these points or a resistive load will build up and intermittent problems will be the result. No contact enhancer or cleaner wil fix this problem. Replacement of the part(s) or mechanically repairing the contact points is the solution.

CAIG DeoxIT Fader F5S-H6 Spray 5 oz.

I have a Yamaha Receiver with the motorized volume control I think that the contacts could be making the right and left channels go on and off would a product like this correct that?

Asked by: Drumrdan
This is intended to be used in potentiometers so it is worth a try. Generally when a pot is dropping out it needs to be replaced but this may help.

How is this applied? Does one spray the entire length of the slider's opening, I'm assuming sparingly? Or what?

Asked by: WRM45
To apply DeoxIT7 Fader F5S-H6, utilizing the extension straw, apply one short burst of DeoxIT® Fader onto the plastic surface. Operate the part/device to help distribute the DeoxIT® in the control or contact area. Wait a few seconds, reapply one short burst. Test for compatibility before use. Wait two minutes before turning on equipment.

Can I clean my PC key board with it.The keys are sticky from when my kid spilled some coke on it.

Asked by: chucko
This is a lubricant so it will not work well for cleaning something like a keyboard. I would recommend a standard plastic safe cleaner for something like this.

Asked by: angelandharvey
Tuner static is caused by corrosion and/or dirt. This great product solves the dirt issues but not corrosion. It does help by lubrication lessen the affects.
