Bravo Audio Headplug Mini Rechargeable Guitar Headphone Amplifier
Bravo Audio Headplug Mini Rechargeable Guitar Headphone Amplifier is rated 3.9412 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Clean Sound with E Bass but problemsOnce I worked around a BIG problem, the sound was clean and loud enough. The problem was that the 1/4" plug was slightly too large a diameter, and could not plug into a variety of jacks (mostly Switchcraft, & imports). I had to use a short patch cord with a homemade coupler, made with plastic body European jacks to connect amp to instrument, resulting in a dongle hanging from bass, defeating purpose of the SMALL form factor.Another short-coming is that the amp does NOT have a very high impedance input, and will not work with an instrument with an unbuffered Piezo under-bridge pickup.I had earlier asked about input impedence, but rather than an answer, the question was deleted by Parts Express staff.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bleh.It doesn't work. It charges on the adapter, and shows the appropriate light to indicate that it's charging. It will change the light when you plug in headphones while it's still attached to the charger, but it only makes a very loud buzzing sound. When disconnected from the charger, plugging in headphones does not turn it on, no lights are displayed, and it doesn't produce any sound, from any of several guitars turned up to full volume. It's a cheap product, so I'm sure QC is lax. It'll cost more than it's worth to return it, both in time on the phone to acquire an RMA and to package it up and take it to the post office, so I haven't bothered. Doubling the cost to get one that works doesn't make it a better piece of kit.Buyer beware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent ampIn spite of what people said, it is plenty loud through my headphones and the sound is totally clear. It sounds just like my real amp. It did take a long time to charge up the first time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not great out of the box, somewhat better laterPurchased to use with a bass guitar. After fully charging the unit, connected it to the bass and headphones, and was disappointed at the hum present. This problem was exaggerated when playing. It was discovered that the 1/4 inch plug had been reverse wired (hot wire to ring, ground to tip). Once this was reversed, the hum disappeared. Unfortunately the unit still does not provide a clean sound when playing. A low level buzz that is only audible while playing still remains.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little product!I had my doubts I could get a CLEAN sound from this little headphone amp, but lo & behold, NO unwanted distortion. It took a bit longer (3 hours) to power up via USB connection to my laptop than I expected, but so far I've used it 8 hours and it's still going strong. Recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great toy, mediocre toolThis is a well-engineered product for beginners and amateurs and worth the price. Electric instruments depend on amplifier voicing for tone, which this does not provide. To do so would increase the size and cost while decreasing battery life. If you are training your fingers and learning songs with headphones of conventional impedance, the convenience and simplicity are ideal. If you are working on expression and nuances, you need something ten times larger and more expensive.
