BOSS R3002 RIOT 600 Watt 2 Channel MOSFET Car Audio Amplifier

If you're still using your head unit for amplification, you have no idea what you're missing! Head units are often unable to provide the loud, dynamic sound you want, and can distort (or even damage) your speakers at even medium volume levels.

That's where the BOSS RIOT Series of amplifiers comes in. Tried-and-true Class AB amplifier topology, 2-ohm stable (for powering a pair of 4-ohm speakers off a single channel), and way more than enough power for even the hungriest door, dash, or deck speaker. The R3002 can also be set up for 2.1 (tri-mode) use to power a pair of stereo speakers and a mono subwoofer (passive crossover values are listed in the manual).

BOSS built the RIOT Series amplifiers with advanced features that are usually associated with amplifiers at more than twice the price: thermal and short circuit protection, soft turn-on circuit, remote turn-on/off, nickel-plated low-level and high-level inputs, LED power and protection indicators, all housed in a stealth black anodized aluminum chassis.

The R2002 also includes a MOSFET PWM power supply (for 4-ohm bridged-mono operation), a variable 35 to 160 Hz low-pass crossover, selectable fixed 80 Hz high-pass crossover, a variable 0 to 18 dB bass boost, and a remote subwoofer level control for dialing in the perfect amount of bass from the driver's seat. Mounting hardware included.

Specifications: • Power output: 2 x 125W RMS (@ 4 ohms), 2 x 300W max (@ 2 ohms), 1 x 600W max (4 ohms bridged-mono) • Frequency response: 9 to 50,000 Hz • Signal-to-ratio: >102 dB • Total harmonic distortion: 0.01% @ RMS power output • Damping factor: >125 • Dimensions (L x H x W): 10.43" x 2.25" x 9.21".

BOSS R3002 RIOT 600 Watt 2 Channel MOSFET Car Audio Amplifier is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great AmpGood signal to noise ratio very stable at 2ohms and reproduces very deep lows without distortion. Bought 1 to tryout and will be purchasing another for my 2nd vehicle

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SatisfiedPretty good little amp. Have it running a small Rockford 10 in a sealed enclosure and it doesn't overheat or anything. As always excellent shipping and service from parts express. 10/10 would buy again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Bang for buckI've had this thing for almost a year now. I've thrown two kicker comp 10's at it, and two Jensen 10's at it so far, and although its no 2000 watt, crazy beefy bass, it handles it all quite well, well enough to shake my side mirrors considerably. I would suggest buying this for a starter build for either a single sub or dual 10" or smaller.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bang for the buck, It meets expectationPros: Simple install, nice looking, easy to dial in with frequency and gain knobs.Cons: Gets hot quickI used to own a Crunch Powerzone amp and I loved that amp. But I downsized to a smaller truck and having a big amp is no longer necessary. I bought this amp to stay on a budget. I knew it would get hot, but not this quick. Time will tell if it will handle the CapeCod summah' heat. Guess I will be back for that update. As far as sound, I would put this against more expensive amps. It get's pretty loud to. Matched with my Pyle Bluewave 10" sub and a JVC KD310BT HU. It performs really good!Would be a 5 star but the heat issue brings questions about when it gets warmer out. If it fails it will be replaced with a new crunch amp. They never get hot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ampHooked this up in my car to two 3-ways and it sounds amazing! Great reproduction of high end with no distortion. Great buy!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from In this case - You get what you pay for. This was to replace an amp that had lesser specs in both RMS power by 20 % and THD by a wide margin. The distortion at high levels is pretty dirty - even when you drop the input gain as far as possible - or crank it up. The High pass filter is no where near the specs that is called out. Set it for 40hz and your down 6 db at 60 hz compared to 120 hz!!! Have to run it straight thru with 6x8 door speakers to even have any bass that worth listening to. Maybe a good cheap sub amp - but not with a good head unit and good speakers.

BOSS R3002 RIOT 600 Watt 2 Channel MOSFET Car Audio Amplifier

How much Watt rms has it bridged at 4 Ohm? Thanks!

Asked by: Dave24
Unfortunately Boss only provides max power numbers for this amplifier in bridged mode. With 600 being max, I would say this amp produces 200-300 watts RMS at 4 ohms bridged.

hi guys! i was interested to use this amplifier in a mobile application (it will run on batteries and solar panels). minimum voltage input? with 12v o 14v it will power well a RE audio REX-8 v2 and two full range speakers? thanks

Asked by: inTime
Unfortunately Boss does not provide the minimum input numbers for this amplifier. If you are wanting to power a sub and two full range speakers, I would recommend using a four channel amplifier for this. Usually you can bridge the second two channels for powering the sub and use the other two outputs for the full ranges.
