from Sub does everything I wanted it to do!I had blown the two original 12" woofers in my 3-way cabs and started comparing probably 50 different replacements. I was very interested in specs when comparing and many of the ones I looked at failed to elaborate on their speaker. Then I found this one! Parts Express has never let me down in the past and I trusted that they have done the homework on their end to feature quality parts. So, I ordered a set of these. Shipping was quick first of all, and they came packaged very well. No problems! They look massive but actually are fairly light compared to some I have tried to "juggle". Mounted them in the ported cabs, wired them up to the 3-way crossover, and with some equalization, had them busting out the tunes! I was impressed! I am powering them with a 1000 watt power amp & equalizer fed from a Pioneer car stereo. I did not got through the "breaking-in" period as some religiously preach is necessary, just started playing them. The Bass is over the edge, so had to back that down some to get a more rounded sound experience. After all, I was replacing the blown WOOFERS with Subs. With some tuning even the live music cd's sound good... I like the blues. They have not even "burped" or made any hint of exhaustion. I wll probably try to see what they sound like with the backs of the cabs removed for free-air to see how much difference there is in bass. Anyway, they are doing more than I asked and believe they would be great in an automotive setting as well.

from Excellent bang for the buck!!!This woofer has a great response on the low and high end frequencies, sounds great, looks great, but it has a quite sensitive voice coil, it's dual layered but not insolated, so don't run a huge amp on it, for 2 of these you only truely need 7-800 watts with a 1 ohm stable amp, dont mess with 2/3/4 channel go 1 channel,... you save Hz and energy!!!
