Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lots of boom for the buckI put a pair of these in the back deck of my Grand Am, in place of the factory 2-way 6x9's. I had to cut part of the factory bracket and trim the opening to make them fit, and i connected them to the factory sub amp instead of the full-range feed from the deck, so they're only playing low bass. These speakers are really efficient, so much so that I had to turn down the bass EQ quite a bit to make them blend in with the factory door speakers. But when turned up, they make enough bass to make the trunk lid vibrate to the beat. I wouldn't say it's the most musical bass, but you can follow a bass guitar riff fairly well, and bass-head CD's make the trunk wing vibrate visibly. Since they are powered by the sub amp only, I have no idea what they sound like in mids and highs, but for cheap bass they're pretty good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from CH6930 Chaos Extreme 6x9 Pair - Great Factory replacementsI got these Boss CH6930 Chaos Extreme's for a client who is a big music fan but didn't understand why his tunes sounded so much different in his car as opposed to in his house- where he listens on a decent stereo, hooked into his home network and the internet- all of the same sources are available in the car and house.I suggested he start with a new head unit, which he did. Then I replaced his rear speakers with these Boss Chaos Extreme 6x9's. The difference is night and day between the factory 6x9 and the Chaos Extreme. For this price, this is a great pick to replace factory speakers with more precise range and even a little punch from the back seat that was missing with the factory 6x9's.This is not a product to add to a high end, 9 billion watts of power thump-stravaganza competition car audio system. This is a common speaker in the rear of sedans that can drastically change the sound in any car by swapping out factory for these Boss Chaos Extremes- and a new head unit helps, but is not required, because the aftermarket units tend to be able push a bit more power to each car speaker than the factory radio. The client likes them so much, I am ordering some more inexpensive Boss 4"x6" for the front doors in the same vehicle. Pretty inexpensive way to upgrade your car sound without breaking the bank or getting some ridiculous amount of power and thump that you just won't use in your daily commute or on the way to grab groceries.Of course there are better 6x9's for sale here- and they might be better speakers. The Boss CH6930 Chaos Extreme pair are great for the average Joe who wants his car to sound a little nicer at the same volume's he listens to now.EXTRA INFO ABOUT PARTS EXPRESS CUSTOMER SERVICE:When Product arrived, the shipment might have been mishandled in delivery - this is unknown, just a guess. There was another product in the shipment - a 4" midwoofer, that was bent and the Boss Chaos Extreme 6x9 package had one plastic grill* in the package that had broken. The 6x9 speakers were flawless, just a plastic grill* had two of the screw input holes snapped off. Parts Express, though the damage was unlikely their fault, dealt with the issues immediately and made everything right again within 36 hours. I can't say enough about the PE customer service team. They are so fast in responding and taking care of any problem, big or small.(*You may or may not even want to use the Boss Chaos Extreme included grills. They are black, have some chrome lettering and are thin plastic. If replacing existing 6x9's in a car, chances are the car grill is the same color as the car interior and will be more appropriate, anyway. Totally aesthetic choice.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My 3rd large purchaseMy most recent install was 5 pairs of these in a Limo Bus. They sound great. I don't know why people complain about a lack of bass. It's a 6x9 for god's sake, if you want extra bass, put in a sub. I actually like they way they look without the grills installed. My last install was 4 pair in another bus. I have never had a problem with these and am getting ready to purchase another 5 pairs for an install we are getting ready to do in December. FYI, for lows I run (4) 15" Boss Chaos subs. They sound amazing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from How can you be dissapointed with these?Breaking in a pair of these and I am quite happy. The basic engineering of these are solid, the build quality is lacking though-at least cosmetically. Woofer magnet is beefy as are those for the mid and highs. They do not have a high quality control on assembly, mine had a hot glue line over the tweeter, and some minor imperfections on both woofer cones. The felt around the pole piece on the woofer was a little uneven. They still look good overall as long as you like chromed plastic and bright red (which I do not). Of course I did not buy them for looks. They sound good. Bass is decent, mids and highs clear with little harshness. In summary, I think they are a great factory replacement, they are cheap where is doesn't matter and solid where it does. Throw them in the rear deck of your car where you can't see them and forget how little paid for something that sounds pretty good.On another note I really don't see these handling anything over 100W RMS. But if you want to push that much to some 6x9's you might as well get something a little nicer/pricier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh Em Gee!Best drop in stock replacement ever. Bass hits good and Highs are nice and crisp. Love the color scheme as well. My favorite colors. Couldn't use the grills thought, but it's a TINY concern.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great 6x9 with high sensitivityExcellent drop in replacement for a 2001 Grand Prix. Very loud with a lot of headroom. My only complaint is the highs blew me away but nothing that a little eq wont fix, great product

Even though these have a high power rating, you will not need more than 50-75 watts RMS for each speaker.

im new to all this i was wondering can this speaker fit in my toyota celica 2001??

Asked by: chris celica
According to my chart, this vehicle uses 6-1/2" speakers in the front and rear, so modifications would need to be made in order to use a speaker this size.
