Bohlender Graebener RD48 Planar Transducer
Is this an exact replacement for the Genesis 201 midrange ribbon?
Unfortunately only Genesis will be able to answer that. Companies often will take a driver like this and make minor changes to it for their own products and we have no way of knowing what those changes are.

Is this an exact replacement for the Genesis 350 midrange?
I have a pair of Genesis 350se loudspeakers, with the BG48 midrange speakers. One of these has some ripples and possible damage, and I am thinking of replacing both. Is this an exact replacement, or does Genesis make some special modifications to the BG 48? Thanks
The Bohlender Graebener RD48 Planar Transducer is not a direct equal replacement for the ribbons in your Genesis 350 speakers and even farther from a replacement if you have 350SE's.It is an excellant replacement for the Carver ribbon. When you reach this level, they all sound good, but the Genesis is flatter in actual responce and almost transparent in coloration. If you wish to exactly duplicate the performance of new then these will miss the target, however if you wish to improve the sound of ribbons that are damaged and get to an impressive sound at less than half the cost of OEM ribbons, then this would be a good choice. It really depends on your budget and drsired outcome. You should understand that if you did an A /B comparison of new Genesis 350's to a pair with replaced Bohlender Graebener RD48 Planar Transducers you will notice a difference. If you didn't have a pair to compare against, you most likely would not find a difference. It is subjective at this level.Good Luck
