BIC Formula FH6-LCR 6-1/2" 2-Way MTM Center Channel Speaker
If these are used for left & right channels a stood upright, would the horn tweeter be orientated correctly?
The horn tweeter has an even distribution pattern so it will provide the same pattern in either orientation.

To use 2 of these as front channel speakers (along with center), will it have to be mounted on stands?
Ideally you want the tweeters at about eye level which means these will need to be on stands for the best results. This is not required, just recommended.

How is it compared to BIC Venturi DV62CLR-S ? Are they for different applications or ...?
These are two different models from the same company that are for the same application. The Formula model will likely get louder but that is about all I can help with in terms of differences.

Separate Grill for use as Mains?
I'm contemplating ordering 3 of these. Does it come with an extra grill, as pictured, for use as a main? or is the badge removable?
Unfortuantely it does not come with an extra grill or have a removable badge.

5 K crossover recommendation
After reading the reviews, I think I will also use the highpass 5k crossover on the tweeter. I will also be purchasing the FH6 6 1/2 in wall front speakers. Do you recommend putting the same crossover on the two fronts?
The in wall speakers should not require this due to the natural lack of baffle step.

klipsch vs bic review
the question was a comparision two the 2 speakers side by side klipsch to bic! Has anyone did this! It looks like they have the same trax horn that klipsch has. Thanks J.R.
I haven't compared the 2 speakers right side by side but I installed Klipsch systems for about 2 years and was very surprised to find that the BIC speakers were right in the same range as the Klipsch. I'd say the BIC Formula speakers would fall just under the R series of the Klipsch brand. BIC doesn't used the same TRAX horn system as the klipsch horns but close to the same. I just did a small 5.1 system with all BIC Formula on a Pioneer Elite and found it to sound excellent in a medium sized room (19' x 14' sun-room). For the price I would say you really can't go wrong otherwise if your looking into floor standing speakers one might look into Definitive Technologies, some companies were selling some of the 2011 products for pretty reasonable right now.
