Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth more than what PE asks.Strong construction and gold plated binders. I have used many terminals over the years and this one is among the best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fix for a set of Cambridge TowersThe basket on my Cambridge Towers was on the bottom (hate that placement). One shattered the last time I took the wires out - biamped with banana plugs. These dropped right in and worked perfect. Now I just wish I hadn't seen the cheap thin wire they used inside the speakers. For $1500, they could have used better wire.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality functional binding postI use these on most of my speaker designs. They facilitate either conventional two channel stereo or bi-amping of the speakers on which they are installed. They do the job for which they were designed very well for a great price.Enough said!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great terminal/performance, hard to beat 2 @ this $these terminals allow for bi-amping or not just be removing the connecting platesthe price makes it a good value and the interior and exterior connectors allow the installer to choose a number of ways to connect the wiresthese and the other 2 terminal cups work great, the gasket around the cup, where it meets the baffle, is a real plus, I have used these on many projects and plan to keep using them, performance to price is great, buy a pair, you will be happy you did...don't tighten them too tight or they will crack, snug is plenty good because of the gasket

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High End Speaker TerminalI used these terminals on a set of Bi-Amped Tower Speakers I made. I took measurements for the cut out required to instal. It took just a few minutes to make my marks on the back of the towers. drilled a few pilot holes and cut out the hole with a jig saw. Internal connections were just as easy, you can solder on the wire or use a clip to make your termination. They do come with a laminated foam gasket to help with any leakage around the opening. As a Home A/V Installer I have seen terminals like these on several speakers that fall into the middle to high end class of speakers. They work with banana plugs and spades. As well it appears that they willl work with up to 10 gauge speaker wire. Thank you P.E. for providing quality products at reasonable prices. I will continue to use your services for my projects.

Removable Jumpers?

I'm designing a dual subwoofer box and want to power each sub with separate channels on the amp to keep the 8 ohm impedance on the subs. Can I use this terminal without the jumpers or will I have to purchase separate terminals?
Asked by: dkward
Yep you loosen the posts and the jumpers come right out, they will work like a charm.

can i use this product if i want to hook up two amps to one speaker. i will only be using one amp at a time

this way i can switch amps with out switching speaker connects. or would some sort of a/b switch be a better choice?
Asked by: 149mph
I would never have any sort of physical connection between two different amplifier's outputs, there could be voltage potential between their outputs which could create noise/hum problems, damage one or both of the amps and/or cause a fire.Use banana plugs on the end of your speaker wires and run a line from each amp to the speaker. Just plug in the banana plugs from the amp you want to use, switching them only takes two seconds. Or run one line to the speakers and switch them at the amplifiers if you can get to them easily and they both have binding posts.I would not use an A/B switch unless you can make sure that it disconnects both positive and negitive wires when switching, again a source of possible problems.
