Belkin Fast Cat 5e 50 ft. Black Patch Cable Snagless
Will this cable fit in the ethernet port to a DSL(AT&T) modem?
The wire I am using is 4 12 ft lengths together by couplers and not reliable. It has eight wires and i just read on the wire cat 5e.will it improve the slow speed of my 3 gig DSL network as it isnt reliable and i get "internet connection problems" or "wire not hooked up." I am thinking it will solve the troubles but wanted to make sure . All my previous Parts Express orders have been over and above my expectations. TYVM--Harold Ewing II
This is an Ethernet cable with RJ45 connectors that will work with your DSL modem. There are too many factors to guarantee that replacing the Ethernet cable will improve speeds, but if the nature of your problem is the Ethernet cable this should solve it.

How flexible these?
I plan to use these in a portable environment. Are they somewhat flexible? Do they have a shape memory? Thanks!
These cable are quite flexible, will make 3/8" radius bends or tighter, no prob. There is some 'shape memory', but it can be bent into a new shape at will.

Can I run through walls or up a floor?
I've read/re-read multiple threads on plenum vs. non-plenum cable but there seems to be mixed answers on what I want to try and do.I would like to run from my router in my basement - Open floor joists to a "TV area" on the floor above. The cable would be run under/within the open floor joists and then through a 3/4" hole in the floor under the built in cabinet to the TV cabinet. Would this be against codes/too dangerous to do in case of fire. Again cable would be run open and then up through floor boards to the inside of a cabinet....Thanks in advance!!!
Plenum rated cable is only required for certain commercial building installations and codes, as far as I know it is almost never used or required for residential applications. You will have to check your local codes to be sure for your area although this is considered data/comm or low voltage so it is not as mandatory.
