Behringer PP400 MICROPHONO Ultra-Compact Phono Preamp

In the age of the MP3, it can be easy to forget that a turntable signal needs a little help before it reaches a mixer or home stereo if it's going to be heard. Thanks to the PP400 phono preamp, your turntable will get the boost it needs to bring your vinyl to life.

Viva Vinyl
The ultra-compact PP400 features stereo RCA inputs and outputs, as well as a 1/4" TRS output jack. Its incredible low-noise operation delivers sound exactly as it's read from your records by the turntable's needle. Also included is a 12V adapter to power this awesome audio solution.

Do Wonders For Your Wax
Vinyl is making a huge comeback, and it's time to get your wheels spinning. Plug your turntable into the PP400, send a line out to a mixer or the AUX inputs on your home stereo, and take a spin on the freeway of retro-cool. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Phono preampDisappointed that it doesn't provide enough volume from magnetic cartridge, and must increase volume dramatically above what it was for radio or CD/DVD through my receiver.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great phono preamp!I bought this unit to listen to some of my LP's that haven't been heard in many years. It's compact size makes it easy to place anywhere in your system. Very easy to use and set up. Plugged it in and sat back to enjoy my vinyl collection. Overall, very pleased with the performance of the unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great preformance in a solid small packageI purchased this pre amp two weeks ago to replace one I installed in my turntable years ago. It's low level hum was getting worse! The Behringer PP400 pre amp is dandy for MM cartridges. It mounts in the turntable base with carpet tape. The performance is top notch. The RIAA equalization is spot on. The hum is totally gone. I'm very happy.

Behringer PP400 MICROPHONO Ultra-Compact Phono Preamp

What are the dimensions of the DC input jack this preamp/powersupply uses? I need to extend the power input of the device to a panel-mount dc connector, and I intend to use the power supply provided with the unit.

Asked by: quicksheep
Chances are it is a 2.1 x 5.5mm plug but Behringer does not specify. You should be able to contact them for this information, 425-672-0816.

I want to connect my iPod (through its Line Out or Headphone Out) to the PP400 and then to my Marantz NR 1501 receiver. Will this help to boost the signal and bring it to a Line Level signal.

Hi! Just resurrected my Technics SL1900 TT, hooked it up to a Behringer PP400 and onto a Bose powered bookshelf speaker (Y audio cable). Great, except for the bass. Would it be OK to simultaneously connect a powered subwoofer to the remaining RCA output?

Asked by: Jim9958
Yes, although you will have to control the subwoofer and main volumes separately.

I have this item on order, can't wait to hook it up to my old technics phono.  My old receiver had a switched power supply for a preamp, new one does not.  Will it be a problem to leave this on all the time?

Asked by: Stuf
No this will not be a problem.
