Behringer NU3000 iNUKE 3000 Watt Power Amplifier

Behringer has spent years fine-tuning the high-density Class-D technology that gives the iNUKE Series its oomph. By carefully selecting transistors with extremely high slew rates and optimizing other proprietary parts of our circuitry, these amps react instantly to even the most demanding electronic bass impulses. The revolutionary high-density Class-D technology combined with ultra-efficient switch-mode power supplies ensures these feather-light powerhouses will drive your rig effortlessly for many years to come.

When this amazing amplifier technology is combined with our state-of-the-art switching-mode power supplies, these amplifiers provide tremendous punch. And because they are so much more efficient than conventional designs, they run cooler and don’t require the massive heat sinks and heavy toroid transformers typically associated with their conventional counterparts.

The front panel controls and indicators provide your system’s vital signs at a glance. After pressing the Power button, the Power LED lights to show the amp is ready for action. All channels feature positive-detent Gain controls with Signal LEDs that light when a signal is present, as well as clip LEDs to indicate when the signal is distorted and you need to reduce the input signal.

The rear panel is just as elegant, with combo XLR and 1/4" TRS input connectors making the iNUKE compatible with virtually any source, balanced or unbalanced. Professional twist-lock speaker sockets are provided to ensure every drop of output power gets to your loudspeakers. The rear panel is also where you'll find the switches that enable iNUKE amps to work in either dual mono, stereo or mono bridge mode. A built-in crossover switch enables the amp to operate in biamp mode, sending low frequency content to passive subwoofers, while the high frequency output is channeled to full range loudspeakers.

Sporting massive output ratings, lightweight Class-D technology, an equally lightweight price tag, and all the amenities a professional audio engineer could ask for, Behringer iNUKE amplifiers are serious amps for the most demanding applications.

Behringer NU3000 iNUKE 3000 Watt Power Amplifier
Behringer NU3000 iNUKE 3000 Watt Power Amplifier is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from My 2nd iNuke3000 - my back & ears are loving it!I do occasional amateur sound reinforcement for bands, festivals, and parties and, in my opinion, this is a real sweet spot for this product range. I bought my first iNuke to replace an aging, heavy Class AB Carvin 1000W amp...and I immediately noticed how QUIET the iNuke is. NO audible hum, thanks to the switchmode power supply, and far less hiss as well. BTW I power a set of EV SX300 12" mains from it, so the power level of this amp is well suited to these cabinets, even when running one channel into the mains and using the other as a monitor mix, it is plenty loud for most gigs. My second NU3000 was bought so I could retire the Carvin amp, and to replace my subwoofer amp, and to expand my monitor mix options. Again, plenty of power driving an EV Force 18" sub on one channel and monitors on the other. Did I mention quiet? These are GREAT amps for monitor mixes, and I'm buying an NU4-6000 soon, to add more monitor mixes and some redundancy / headroom to my rig.As far as RMS ratings go, with an AC input power rating of 350 watts on the NU3000, the output RMS power cannot exceed about 85-90% of that figure, TOTAL, if the rating is true. Whatever, it sounds plenty loud - and carrying my amp rack was never so effortless. Thanks Behringer!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not rated for true RMSI bought this 2 weeks ago for it's lightweight features and high power and 2 ohm capable abilities. On Parts Express site they list it as 440wRMS, and Behringers home site they list it as 440w (un specified) so I purchased this under the guidlines that it's a true 440w rms amp. Well, don't get too excited. Upon opening the owners manual and double checking the specs, it turns out it's only 260wRMS. I was looking for an amp 450+rms so I sent it back and ordered the Behringer EPQ2000 at 500w RMS. This is my 2nd EPQ and am pleased with both. The Inuke 3000 I never plugged in or used, but was impressed with the light weight, but didn't like the lack of binding posts/bannana luggs. Just be weary that it's only 260wRMS, the 440W is the peak value. That's the only honest review I can do at this time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not plasticI purchased the lowest power version of this amp. The above reviewer claims its encased in plastic. The model I have is made of aluminum, which makes sense, considering it weighs in at under 7lb.(unbelievable) I have only used it a few times and was very pleased with its sound. The best features are the built in crossover, extremly light weight and very low thermal. I drove the heck out of it, one channel at 4 ohms all night, and it continually put out cold air through the vents. It just never got hot. It's limiter kept my sub signal nicely in check. As far as distortion goes, it might have been slightly higher than my Crown Powerbase II, but not really noticably. Since I run a single 18" sub, the 8 ohm 150 watts was a little under rated, with the other channel running 2 tops speakers at a 4 ohm 300 watts. I wound up balancing out the levels. I am hoping this amp will stand up to the vigors of weekly use, because I really need to lighten my load. We call the Crown Powerbase II / crossover rack the AntiChrist, because it's so heavy and causes back issues. It really needs to go.I'll review again in a few months.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from High Expectation - Poor ResultsI am a professional sound provider and have used Behringer products in the past. Some of their products with amazing results. This new iNUKE power amp looked pretty spectacular on paper so I decided to order one. The amp was encased in plastic, not metal, which gave me an immediate opinion of the quality. I hooked up the amp and ran it in stereo, mono and bridged mode. I was very disappointed in the power output. After reviewing the enclosed manual, I realized that the power listed in the catalog and on the web was peak power! I was also disappointed in the amount of distortion noticeable at 3/4 power. I had hoped that this model would be a good fit for my clients that are working within a tight budget. I'll have to pass on this one.

Asked by: junboy

Can I use my AVR sub preout (~0.8 V) to drive this amplifier for 4OHM subwoofer?

yes but it is recommended to use an unbalanced to balanced converter like the ART #245-868

Are the power rating given Peak, RMS, at what distortion levels? Numbers are pretty useless without that information.

Asked by: Bullitt5094
Unfortunately Behringer does no specify. I would recommend calling them for detailed information if you cannot find it in the manual.
