from Not ImpressedI took a chance on these based on positive reviews, but was pretty disappointed. After a break in of maybe 50 hours, I found a complete absence of low bass (to be expected with such a small speaker), a near absence of mid bass, and a confused and slow upper bass that lacked transient response. No warmth, no sweetness at all. The cabinet of the right speaker leaked air horribly out of the plug openings, so any semblance of port tuning was out the window. I messed with equalization and some digital signal processing to try to find some bass, but it just wasn't there. The upper frequencies were much better....accurate and quite pleasant, not at all harsh or overly bright. The whole rig was a bit under powered as well. They clipped too readily.I returned them, and as per their usual high quality customer service, Parts Express made the process easy, though I did spend $26 on return shipping.

from Excellent SpeakersIhave them connected to my computer and the sound is perfect for the size, needs some work on the bass. I found them on another place for 10.00 dollars less.

from Excellent value and quality.I wanted good balanced sound without the use of a separate subwoofer. These speakers deliver clear and rich sound. The controls in the front makes adjustments convenient.

from Decent sound for the money.I purchased these Behringer speakers to use with a small LCD flat panel TV with really crappy sound. I connected to the headphone output which mutes the internal speakers. Overall I'm very pleased. I was able to get a fairly smooth well balanced sound for dialog and music. I also tried them with CD as the source and they did a respectale job with that too. The low bass is somewhat lacking, and the volume is limited by speaker size & output power, but hey, what can you expect for $59? I don't think you'll do better for the price. For my use, they're perfect. They would probably also work well as computer speakers or as monitors for an instrument like keyboard. For critical listening, mixing, recording... I'd say spend a bit more for smoother response and more output power.
