Behringer iNUKE NU4-6000 6000 Watt Four Channel Power Amplifier
The powerful iNUKE NU4-6000 packs four 1500 watt amplifiers into the space of one. Now you can run your stereo full range mains plus two separate monitor mixes with this one exceptionally lightweight, rack-mountable powerhouse. Or, you may want to operate your subwoofers in bridge mode (3000 W) and run your mid/high packs in mono biamp mode (2 x 1500W). The highly versatile iNUKE NU4-6000 gives you options, and lots of them. Their revolutionary high-density Class-D technology combined with ultra-efficient switch-mode power supplies ensures these feather-light power amps will drive your rig effortlessly for many years to come.

Superb transient response

Behringer spent years fine-tuning the high-density Class-D technology that gives the iNUKE Series its oomph. By carefully selecting transistors with extremely high slew rates and optimizing other proprietary parts of the circuitry, these amps react instantly to even the most demanding electronic bass impulses.

When this amazing amplifier technology is combined with state-of-the-art switching-mode power supplies, these amplifiers provide tremendous punch. And because they are so much more efficient than conventional designs, they run cooler and don’t require the massive heat sinks and heavy toroid transformers typically associated with their conventional counterparts.

Sublimely simple operation

The front panel controls and indicators provide your system's vital signs at a glance. After pressing the Power button, the Power LED lights to show the amp is ready for action. All channels feature positive-detent Gain controls with Signal LEDs that light when a signal is present, as well as Clip LEDs to indicate when the signal is distorted and you need to reduce the input signal.

The rear panel is just as elegant, with combo XLR and 1/4" TRS input connectors making the NU4-6000 compatible with virtually any source, balanced or unbalanced. Professional twist-lock speaker sockets are provided to ensure every drop of output power gets to your loudspeakers. The rear panel is also where you'll find the switches that enable the NU4-6000 to work in quad mono, dual stereo, or dual mono bridge mode. A built-in crossover switch enables the amp to operate in biamp mode, sending low frequency content to passive subwoofers, while the high frequency output is channeled to full range loudspeakers.

Behringer iNUKE NU4-6000 6000 Watt Four Channel Power Amplifier
Behringer iNUKE NU4-6000 6000 Watt Four Channel Power Amplifier is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from No regretsPlus side: Good looking, lightweight, 4 channels, lots of power, low AC draw. Bad side: Speakon outs only, You CANNOT bridge into a 2 ohm load (even though the specs say you can). Rear panel layout is slightly confusing. IEC cables seem to wiggle loose easy. OK all that being said. You can run a whole PA(tri-amp w/external crossover) and monitors (four mixes) with 2 of these. I've been doing that for about 2 months and pounding on them. I'd buy more. I guess they make a DSP version also for bit more $$.

I want to run stereo mode with the crossover on so I can run one side to my mains and the other to my subs on channels A/B. Then I want to run stereo mode for two monitor mixes on channels C/D . Is that possible with this amp?

is this amp basically the same as the nu 6000 when in bridge mode?  Wouldn't that make this amp the best choice since you have more flexibility at the same price?

Asked by: strander
The bridged output would be relatively the same combining all 4 channels but each channels stereo output is less that of the nu-6000.

just to verify connections, I would like to run two channels in stereo at 8 ohm for some two way fronts, then bridge the other two channels to run a single sub. it appears to me that you can bridge a+b or c+d but outputs say a+c b+d

Asked by: spur31
If you select 8 ohm stereo mode for channel A/B then the pin out connections would be +1 and - 1 for (A) and ( B) the speakon cable. ( standard NL2 neutrik cable)For the bridged output for channel C+D then the connections are +1 +2 on the (C) neutrik speakon connector. You may have to make this cable.

Will this amp enough to drive a Selenium 18SWS800 18" 800W 8 ohm Subwoofer on a single channel? or does it need to be bridge?

Asked by: Ordz
single channel will only provide 315 watts at 8 ohms whereas the 18sws800 is looking for around 800 rms. In bridge mode the amp will provide 1250 at 8 ohms and may be a better option for you if adjusted carefully.
