Product Details

Behringer C-2 Studio Condenser Microphone Matched Pair

The cardioid pickup pattern effectively eliminates feedback, plus there is switchable low frequency roll-off and -10 dB input attenuation. Ultra low-noise transformerless FET input eliminates low-frequency distortion, while a gold-plated 3-pin XLR connector assures the highest signal integrity. Custom microphone stand adapters, windscreens, stereo-bar, and transport case are all included, making these condenser microphones ready for action straight out of the box! If super-compact size is paramount but you don't want to compromise on the performance, then a pair of C-2s is the answer.

What is a Condenser Microphone?
A condenser mic is the ideal choice for capturing vocals or acoustic instruments, either in live or recording settings. By their very nature, condenser microphones are much more sensitive than dynamic microphones, enabling them to pick-up even the subtlest of signals. Thanks to their cardioid (heart-shaped) pattern, C-2 microphones pick up your source signal while rejecting off-axis sounds that can ruin an otherwise perfect recording.

Another difference between condenser and dynamic mics is they contain active circuitry that requires phantom power (+48 VDC) for operation. You can power them from any phantom power equipped Behringer XENYX mixer, plus enjoy the benefits of our state-of-the-art XENYX mic preamps.

Sound That Astounds
Every stitch of these mics is designed to deliver beautiful sound. Beginning with the gold-plated 3-pin XLR connector, you get the highest signal integrity.

Once connected to your system, you'll notice these twin pro-caliber microphones have a 4 dB boost in the 1 kHz - 8 kHz range. For those of you new to condenser mics, this basically means you’ll get a slightly brighter sound that will give the perfect shape to cymbals and overhead miking. Acoustic pianos and choirs also benefit greatly from this type of frequency response.

Excellent Source Isolation
The cardioid pickup pattern provides unparalleled sound source separation and feedback rejection. C-2 mics contain ultra low-noise transformerless FET input circuitry that can handle extreme dynamics with a maximum sound pressure level of 136 dB. So even if the featured performer at your next recording session or live show happens to be a revved-up jet engine, this workhorse mic will not distort!

Our C-2 mics also feature a low-frequency rolloff switch to eliminate infrasonics (mic handling noise, sound created by creaky stages), as well as a switchable -10 dB input pad to accommodate hot signals, such as a really loud vocalist or overzealous cellist.

Value
The C-2 mics not only sound great, they come packed with custom stand adapters, windscreens, a stereo bar for mounting both mics in stereo alignment, and a transport case. As soon as you take them out of the box, these mics are ready to become a mind-blowing addition to your sound arsenal.

Behringer C-2 Studio Condenser Microphone Matched Pair
Behringer C-2 Studio Condenser Microphone Matched Pair is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Swiss army knife micDoes it all and at an unbeatable price. I know many people question Behringer gear, but these mics perform as well as mics costing much more. I use these and prefer them over 57's for guitar. Very transparent. Which is what you want, right? Obviously works great for hat/overhead or acoustic instrument and studio micing. Doubt I'll be buying anymore 57's anytime soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from skepticalWas not sure how good they would be for the price and was also looking at the C-4 model, but when I got them and plugged them in the sound quality and pick up on them was way better than I was expecting. All in all excellent mics.

Behringer C-2 Studio Condenser Microphone Matched Pair

what mixers are compatible with the Behringer C2 studio condeser mics?

Asked by: Vickie
Any mixer with phantom power will work. Most mixers today, even smaller ones, have phantom power. Some older low end mixers may not have phantom so you would have to upgrade your mixer or purchase an external phantom power supply that goes in-line. Also a mixer with 3 or 4 band EQ with mid-sweep on each channel will bring out the best sound, though these mics work well with a 2 band EQ.
