B&C 8CXT 8" Coaxial Driver
B&C 8CXT 8" Coaxial Driver is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Astonishingly good value, at this priceAn awesome Co-Axial, powerful, accurate, and very forgiving. If you are in the market for a high performance Co-Ax look no further. I have been using these for a few years now for high level monitoring and near field use, with no complaints or breakdowns. The B&C does everything, goes very loud and can be used in a sealed box as small as 7 Litres or a vented box to 13-15 Litres. This is one tough little driver.

is there another cross over beside part number 290-636?

Asked by: logan4k
This combination would work well with any crossover that is around 5kHz. The link below is one good option. You may also want to use an L-pad to help attenuate the high frequencies.

What passive X-Over for driving B&C 8CXT 8" Coaxial Driver ?

Looking at driving these with a 500 Watt amp and need a passive x-over.
Asked by: jemduff
The highest powered crossover that I would recommend would be our part number 290-636. B&C recommends a crossover no lower than 2kHz however.

What is the recommended enclosure size for the 8cxt? Thanks

Asked by: MX48
I would go with an enclosure of approximately 0.5ft³ with a 2.5" diameter x 8" long port. This will tune the box to around 70Hz, and the F3 will also be 70Hz.

What is the replacement driver for the high frequency element of this speaker?

Asked by: Symmetric Audio
The HF driver on this coaxial is the DE400TN, it is not removable. We carry the replacement diaphragm if you need one, I've linked it below for your convenience.
