B&C 6NDL44 6-1/2" Professional Neodymium Woofer 8 Ohm
Good for Car Audio?
I think the sensitivity makes up for that fact that it's 8ohms but how will it perform in the airspace of a car door?
It would work for sure, with a Vas of .26 the door will be pretty close to an infinite baffle for it though. That means excellent transients, but poor power handling. You may want to put in a passive high pass filter tuned to about 70hz if you have a subwoofer to fill in the bottom end. The Neo magnet drives the price up as well.If you plan on powering it with your deck, it is a bit of overkill. The vast majority of mobile audio decks are about 50W per channel, OE ones usually even less. This driver is capable of 400W!In an all-out bassmobile, with a good amp, this speaker will keep up no problems. If that's what you need then this is the one. Put it in a tiny little box to keep the cone under control and use a 200Wrms amp to drive it.
