BBE 882i Dual Mono Sonic Maximizer w/Balanced Inputs/Outputs
BBE 882i Dual Mono Sonic Maximizer w/Balanced Inputs/Outputs is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Maximum SatisfactionUsed a 462i prior to this 882i. After returning the older unit that was 1/4" trs only to its owner and installing my new 882i, not only did I gain XLR capability, I gained maximum clarity and clean lows. The unit rightly carries the name "Sonic Maximizer".

Input options?

I want to connect passive pickups to a passive Switchcraft SC800 Instrument DI box to an 882i. I am curious as to whether the passive Switchcraft DI will provide an acceptable signal for the 882i Sonic Maximizer (BBE manual says 14.7K Ohms). I also want to connect a 600 ohm balanced line to the other input. Will both these applications work? Thanks!
Asked by: RyanRs
Minus 45dbu to plus12 dbu is what this item needs to "see". A really good range here. No worries with "passive--non-amplified pickups or a passive non amplified DI". This 882i was designed for a wide range of inputs/outputs. Professional line level is +4 and home stereo is -10 to -20 (or so).
