Band-It Maple Veneer 24" x 96" Paper-Backed

Band-It's premium Maple veneer offers the quality and beauty that you would find on high-end speakers, but in a form factor that is cost effective and easy-to-apply. The paper backing allows the wood to bend without cracking, and makes the veneer easier to handle, trim, and glue. Just secure the veneer in place with contact cement or your choice of adhesives, and trim edges flush. Comes in convenient 2 ft. by 8 ft. (0.035" thick) rolls that have enough material for most smaller bookshelf speakers. If you've never worked with veneer before, this is a great opportunity to give it a try-- we're sure you will like the results!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the price. This was my first experience using veneer and this product was easy to work with. You can't beat the price anywhere and the final product looks great. My only issue was a couple of small knots which had some material fall out and left bare paper underneath. The spots were small and are invisible now after stain and poly. Overall very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really happy with this veneerI bought two rolls to finish a pair of 40L towers. Very nice quality and consistency between rolls. It was also about $30 cheaper per roll than anything I could find locally. Many people say to only use solvent based contact cement, but I used a high quality water based from Woodcraft with no problems and after 1 year it's still holding strong. Just be sure to follow the directions on the can.I also bought the band-it trimmer, but ended up using a regular razor blade to trim because the trimmer caused tearout.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very nice veneerThere are several places that sell wood veneer on line, some of it very nice, and some not so nice. What I like most about this product (and Parts Express), is the consistent quality. It's priced competitively, looks great, comes in a variety of wood types and it's packaged in a nice compact size. Great product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from looks great, easy to work withThis veneer is a great deal compared to buying it from hardwood stores (atleast 70 there). It was very easy to cut with a utility knife and a straightedge.Oh and it actually measures about 24 and a half, a little extra for the overlap is included. For most of the sheets I used a 1/4-1/2" overlap and used the bandit trimmer. when you use that DO NOT make a full cut one way, go part of the way then come at it from the other direction. Otherwise it can make a tear if you go straight off.It looks great even without a stain when its all done. Use a liquid contact cement and paint it on with a brush to the back of the veneer and the speaker face. Use a light painters tape to mask around the edges, it really helps to line it up and also avoid drips and overpaint. Wait 30 mins for the contact cement to become tacky, then start to put the two together. Using waxpaper under it to slowly slide it on is a HUGE help. Then use your hands to tact it down first and a rolling pin or roller to firmly press it down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks very professionalIts easy to use and looks great when finished. Just be careful it will not bend on a sharp edge at 90 degrees. I suggest that you round the corners with 1/2 inch round but you still have to be careful.

Band-It Maple Veneer 24" x 96" Paper-Backed

How many would you need for the Tritrix speakers?

And can you recommend some simple but good cabinet feet to go with?
Asked by: Harley
One package of veneer will cover one TriTrix cabinet. I've referenced a set of our speaker spikes below for your convenience.
