Avantree Saturn Wireless Bluetooth Receiver and Transmitter Featuring aptX Codec is rated 4.8889 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from ExcellentI bought one last month so I could throw music from my iPhone to the archaic but mighty 70's receiver and big ol' 80's JBL monkey coffin speakers we have set up at work. I work in a big barn-like architecture studio and we work a lot of late nights and weekends. Needless to say everyone now has this device hooked up to their phones and desktops to use as well. I was so pleased with it I bought a second one at home to use for my awesome 80's stereo system banished to the garage by The Woman.Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sounds great!Worked great in receive and transmit modes. Easily paired with several devices of varying manufacture (Samsung, LG, Apple, Definitive Technologies). Unobstructed range was very good (easily 30' with no drop outs). Seemed to be a slightly better sound quality than similar Bluetooth receiver/transmitters I've used in the past. Possibly aptX makes that difference? At any rate, listening was very enjoyable, and seemed just as good as a wired connection (when using compressed audio files). Don't know what overall battery life is (I normally power it), although worked fine on battery power.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great solution to an old problem.I have wanted to put a mic on my instrument and not have a cord attaching the instrument to a belt-pack wireless transmitter. This is light enough to put directly on the instrument. The expected on-time is more than enough and does not have heavy batteries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Avantree Saturn BTI was happy with the robust ability of this device. It is very fast and simple to set to your devices and transmit distance is impressive. The only negative is the battery life. I plan to get a single cell lipo and hard wire it in to replace the factory one. All supplied wires and cables are decent quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good performance, small form factorTried another of PE's Bluetooth receiver options first, but that unit just didn't have sufficient range to work for my application (feeding music from outdoor devices to an indoor AVR) without dropping out... the Saturn, however definitely has the ~30'ish range needed and has been been completely satisfactory. At this point I've tested it with both an iPad2 and a Samsung Galaxy S4 phone, and pairing was quick and painless in both instances. Problem solved!

Avantree Saturn Wireless Bluetooth Receiver and Transmitter Featuring aptX Codec

If I plug this transmitter into the headphone jack of my receiver, will I still get sound out of the receiver so other people in the room can hear the TV?

Asked by: robertgroome
That is a function of the receiver. If you can plug headphones (for example) into the jack and the speakers still work; then, yes.

If I purchased two, configured one to transmit and the other to receive would they pair to each other?  I would connect one to the output on my pre-amp as a transmitter and the second unit to a pair of powered speakers.

Asked by: PKindallas
Yes. The description points this feature out: "Use two Saturns to transmit audio from a TV to a set of headphones for private listening while your loved-one sleeps."If you replace the "TV" with "music source" and "set of headphones" with "powered speakers", it answers your question.

Can I use it on my TV

Asked by: Harryi
Yes this can be used on a TV that has line level or a headphone output.

I have a legacy analog stereo system with no blue tooth wireless speakers. If I connect this transmitter to the headphone output or the left/right output phono plugs of my analog amp, what wireless blue tooth speakers will receive the transmission?

Asked by: Telegraphy
Headphone output will be variable with the volume control. Any audio out on the back of the stereo will be fixed ( set on high). Don't use (phono). If you use a fixed audio output stay with ( aux out) rca jacks. You will then need to control the volume with the Bluetooth speaker(s). It just depends on your particular set up. This should transmit to any Bluetooth headset or speaker.

If using a pair of these, could I hook one up to a lapel or headset microphone and have it transmit to the other, hooked to a sound system, to create a wireless PA setup?

Asked by: Kensai
Microphones, and particularly the small condenser electret microphone capsules used in lavalier mics often require a power source, referred to as "phantom power", which this transmitter and receiver do not provide. Also, the noise level may be unacceptable since these devices are designed to work with line-level signals and not the very low-level signals produced by microphones. I don't recommend this usage and would instead recommend purchasing an economical wireless microphone system designed for this purpose.

Is the output from this high enough to adequately load the input of a good quality receiver such as Demon/Onkyo/Yamaha without turning up the volume control very high on the receiver ?  Turning up volume contributes to noise.

Asked by: AVKESQ
Yes, however you may have to adjust the input to avoid distortion as you mentioned.
