Avantree Saturn Wireless Bluetooth Receiver and Transmitter Featuring aptX Codec

The Avantree Saturn is a 2-in-1 Bluetooth device that transmits or receives Bluetooth signals at the flip of a switch. The Saturn incorporates aptX® technology. aptX technology is at the heart of the best devices from leading brands, delivering pure wireless sound that doesn’t compromise audio quality.

Avantree Saturn Wireless Bluetooth Receiver and Transmitter Featuring aptX Codec
Avantree Saturn Wireless Bluetooth Receiver and Transmitter Featuring aptX Codec is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Avantree Saturn BTI was happy with the robust ability of this device. It is very fast and simple to set to your devices and transmit distance is impressive. The only negative is the battery life. I plan to get a single cell lipo and hard wire it in to replace the factory one. All supplied wires and cables are decent quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good performance, small form factorTried another of PE's Bluetooth receiver options first, but that unit just didn't have sufficient range to work for my application (feeding music from outdoor devices to an indoor AVR) without dropping out... the Saturn, however definitely has the ~30'ish range needed and has been been completely satisfactory. At this point I've tested it with both an iPad2 and a Samsung Galaxy S4 phone, and pairing was quick and painless in both instances. Problem solved!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product!i was looking for a new bluetooth receiver/transmitter to replace the one i had. i use this device to connect to the audio output of my satellite receiver as well as the a/v receiver. connected to this device are a pair of sony bluetooth headphones. the headphones paired to this device quickly and easily. in addition, this product produces very good quality sound. the lag time in the audio, when connected to the satellite receiver, is nearly impossible to notice. with the device connected to the a/v receiver i can see some lag but definitely within tolerance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tiny but full featuredI bought this for my wood shop, as I like to listen to Pandora & my phone's MP3 collection when I'm working in there. To hear the music over the dust collector, sanders, etc. I have an 800 watt rack mount amp, so there is plenty of power, and I can hear the quiet passages when the power tools are off.The fidelity of this little unit is good, I'm quite impressed. The only problem I have with it is that it does a "soft-start" feature where the music volume ramps up over about 5 seconds for the first song. Not a big deal, but it startled me at first, as I was trying to set the overall volume at the same time it was ramping up. For some reason, my phone will not automatically connect with this when I go into the shop, but if I connect manually, then all is good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing sound and well worth the money.I was wary of spending so much on a bluetooth receiver as I've found the sound quality of some units to be questionable. I bought an alternative device from Parts Express for half the cost of this Avantree a while back and that was acceptable but some way off high fidelity. However after reading the one other review of this Avantree (so far there's only that one review) I took the plunge and I am glad I did.The sound quality of the Avantree is truly amazing, pretty much indistinguishable from a direct connection to my home system. The definition and clarity is outstanding with none of the smearing and frequency restriction of the cheaper unit. I haven't tried it as a transmitter yet but it's worth the money as a receiver alone. If the TX function is as good, it is a very good purchase indeed. Highly recommended if audio fidelity and quality are as important as the convenience of Bluetooth. Swallow the cost and enjoy the music - your ears will thank you!

Avantree Saturn Wireless Bluetooth Receiver and Transmitter Featuring aptX Codec

Is the output from this high enough to adequately load the input of a good quality receiver such as Demon/Onkyo/Yamaha without turning up the volume control very high on the receiver ?  Turning up volume contributes to noise.

Asked by: AVKESQ
Yes, however you may have to adjust the input to avoid distortion as you mentioned.

What is real world range of bluetooth connectivity assuming indoors with walls and doors?

Asked by: 1Rob1
All Bluetooth is limited to about 30 feet. Walls and doors will limit this further, 10-15 feet is a fairly realistic number.

Where and what is the charging jack? What are the charging requirements? Is this product suitable for a TV fixed output?

Asked by: trainpain
The charging jack is on the back of the unit and is a micro USB which will charge with any standard 5V USB port. This will work with a fixed output as long as your audio playback source has a volume control.

I want to use the Saturn to transmit from my home stereo receiver to a bluetooth spear. How do you connect the Saturn to a stereo receiver for transmitting?

Asked by: Stanl
This will have to be plugged into an audio output of some sort, like an AUX out or headphone jack in order to transmit the signal.
