Audio-Technica AT-LP60 Fully Automatic Belt Driven Turntable
Stylus and cartridge question.
I was wondering if this turn table is able to replace the entire cartridge without modifying/soldering anything together. I would also like to know what the stock replacement stylus is and what product number it is. Both of these specs would do well to be in the description, but are understandably overlooked.
The phono cartridge is fixed for this specific turntable. You would have an insane time changing it out. The tonearm doesn't have counter-weights etc. If you prefer a different phono cartridge - you would be best to get a turntable where you can make that selection yourself. As for the stylus part number, it is a service product and would relate to the AT-LP60 turntable when you contact AT for a replacement part.

Do you need a receiver with this turntable or can you just connect speakers and listen?
You need an amplifier and speakers to listen. However, one of the little t-amps and some inexpensive bookshelf speakers would work fine, since it has a built in pre-amp.No need for an expensive receiver if you don't want/or cannot afford one right now. You could also hook it up to a boombox, radio or ipod dock as long as it has a line in.The t amp and speakers would give you the best sound, but the others would work much better than your typical cheap record player with built in speakers, and save your records a lot of wear and tear.
