from Limp Metal with Shallow CorrugationI ordered one of these to evaluate it as a back-up part to my usual bridge and the first thing that struck me was how shallow the corrugations were - they don't seem to stiffen the bridge much. Then I put one end of the bridge on a table, held the other end in my hand, and applied force to the middle. It didn't seem like much force at all was required to bend the bridge. To give you an idea of how limp the metal is in this bridge, I curled one corner with my bare hands, shown in photo below. My go-to bridge is the Fourjay PB8 (300-311.) Putting it through the same tests didn't result in any bending when it spanned a gap -- I applied a lot more downward force than what was needed to bend the Atlas -- and the thought of rolling a corner of the PB8 by hand is laughable.Maybe this Atlas bridge stiffens sufficiently with the addition of a speaker, baffle, and backbox. For me, I'll stick with the Fourjay PB8.

from Provides much needed support for 2X4 ceiling tiles!Provides easier installs and toughens up the usually weak drop ceiling tiles, no sag. I use them on installs all of the time. Also provides a very good anchor for the speaker screws!
