Arvani by AuraSound 40" Powered Soundbar 2.1 System with Wireless Subwoofer and Remote

Experience rich bass and crystal clear dialogue with this easy to set up AuraSound Arvani 2.1 soundbar and wireless subwoofer system. A wireless remote and all the cables you need are included. Just connect the powered soundbar to your audio source, pair it to the wireless subwoofer, and the system is ready to immerse you in a dynamic, engaging aural experience. Many audio input options are available; you can even pair it to an Arvani wireless iPod dock.

Compact, high fidelity, low distortion drivers made AuraSound famous, and the popular Aura Bass Shaker is recognized worldwide for its reliability and incredible low frequency output. The Arvani 2.1 system fits into small spaces, but will also fill larger rooms with its warm, realistic sound. Added features include SRS TVOL, which prevents commercials from being louder than the programs you are watching. Or turn on the SRS TSHD for an expansive audio image and deeper bass.

The black gloss finish gives the system a smooth, elegant look that fits well in any décor. At nearly 40", the 2-channel powered soundbar is equipped with two hand built 3" mid/bass woofers and one aluminum dome neodymium tweeter per channel. Packing six drivers into the design guarantees a full range of sound just from the sound bar. For extra low end depth, the wireless subwoofer takes charge. Backed by a 60 watt mono-block amplifier, the Arvani's 6-1/2" long throw subwoofer provides musical lows and thrilling home theater rumble that even the most distinguished ear can appreciate.

Arvani by AuraSound 40" Powered Soundbar 2.1 System with Wireless Subwoofer and Remote
Arvani by AuraSound 40" Powered Soundbar 2.1 System with Wireless Subwoofer and Remote is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice improvement for Flat Screen soundI've had this unit about a week and feel I can give a reasonably accurate review. First off unpacking I discovered a missing power cable. There was only one in the box. Not an issue for me as I have several spares. On setting up at first the sub woofer didn't work. Checking I found the switch on the sound bar to be set to "Client" rather than "Hub". That solved that issue. But those two issues prevent me from giving a five start review. It took a while to get the correct balance between the sub and bar and it is very important to space the sub somewhat near the bar. Not because of a range limit but rather the sound. With a sub it is always a trick to not get carried away with too much bass. One other slight annoying thing is the power for the sub is not remotely controlled. However, I found with just the sound bar on alone the sound is quite decent if I am too lazy to get out of bed to turn the sub on. Oh and another bothersome issue is the remote turns on my Phillips DVD player when the Volume Down button is pressed on the sound bar remote!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from easy setup nice soundUp and running in 5 min. Good sound for the price. Distorts a little at high volume but not an issue given the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound in a small packageI am very happy with this item. It fills the room with a lot of theater like sound and the subwoofer really packs a punch.Attach the soundbar to your TV, place the subwoofer in a good location and you won't believe the sound quality. WOW!!! Takes up very little room and the sound is great. Can't be beat for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have purchased 2, would buy again!I've purchased two of these Aurasound bar systems. First, for my garage setup which is fantastic, and the second set for my bedroom. My normal, theater room setup is a 5.1, heavily modified, BIC America DV Series (with the Ed Frias x-over upgrade) as well as an SVS NSD-10 subwoofer. The BIC's, plus the SVS, and my high power Marantz receiver is an exceptional budget sound system. I'll usually get a few jaws dropping when I show people what the system is capable of. I am telling the reader all of this so they understand I have a experience with above average sound quality. The Aura 2.1, in my opinion, does a superb job of providing a full-range amplification of whatever you throw at it. The sub doesn't go as low as I am used to, but for most with an uneducated ear it will be plenty of clean, and loud bass. I find vocal clarity to be a tad above average. The high frequencies are clean, yet harsh at times. I believe the point of this system was to drastically improve the sound vs. your flat screen's speakers (which suck just about all of the time)...the Aura does that WELL. The Aura 2.1 will create some impressive volumes, without much distortion, but it is not as warm as I am used to, and without that warmth at higher volumes can lead to listener fatigue. At times, the sound stage seems small and condensed, but expected of a sound bar.The manual is surprisingly detailed. The features, and number of inputs is helpful, but average. Like others have said, I'd recommend a 90 degree optical adapter if you plan to mount the sound bar to the wall above or below the TV. Pairing the subwoofer is really easy and convenient, just need a wall plug about 6ft away from it.I got bored one night and took the subwoofer apart (pictures). Impressed by the build quality and internal components. Subwoofer magnet is beefy and heavy as heck. Internal dampening and reinforcing of the sub enclosure is average. Clearly design by a well-trained sound engineer with some financial restraints, but a little freedom to do the important stuff. Could use some improvements for minimal gains if one desired to do so (polyfil, etc.).Some other observations. The Tru SRS Volume feature is annoying. It works 50% of the time as it should. The other 50% is not calibrated with modern TV and creates a unpredictable, and aggressive movie "build quality"...hard to explain, but you'll see what I am talking about it when you use it. The remote is simple and does what it needs to do. The build quality of the sound bar and subwoofer is higher than expected. Will pair well with modern design. Overall, I would buy this system again, and recommend to everyone who is looking for a semi-budgeted 2.1 sound bar, that for $200, will destroy all the other competitors. If you have experience with $2-$4k home theater system this will be a downgrade (which is an obvious statement for those who have experience with higher end audio equipment). If not, I believe you will find this system very satisfying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decodes Dolby, but no DTSThis sound bar is great, especially for the price. Read all the reviews, as people seem to like it. I got this working with my DirecTV remote using a Sherwood code. It took the 5th code out of 24, but it works. The only downside I can see is that it cannot decode DTS natively. You can either convert to PCM through your TV or source, select a Dolby track with lower quality, or remux to Dolby (on the fly, depending on your source). These options seem to work for me.If you have a Blu-ray using any DTS or DTS-HD track, you may have to pick the Dolby track with lower quality or force your TV to output as PCM. In any case, this is still a good sound bar at a great price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good clear soundWorks very well with good clear sound. The documentation is c-, and the woofer power being controlled seperately from the unit or remote is inconvient,.But all in all, I'm very satisfied.Gene

What frequency is used for the wireless subwoofer and can it be paired with another transmitter?

Asked by: heroesunplugged
Aura does not specify the transmission frequency of the subwoofer itself, I would not know if it could be pair to other devices.

At 20 watts per channel, it does not seem to be very powerful. The sub at 60 seems ok. How does this generate volume with this power rating? Most soundbars over $100.00 have 100 to 300 watts distributed to the front channels and the sub.

Asked by: Jerry S
The sound bar itself is high passed and has a frequency response from 90-20,000 Hz. 20 watts into a driver that is high passed will go a very long way, with the sub covering the bottom octaves. These power ratings are actually accurate, whereas other brands may inflate numbers for marketing purposes.

Can this soundbar be controlled with a universal remote, or is there a code for a direct TV remote?

Asked by: evilroy
The Arvani powered sound bar does come with a remote but without universal codes. It can be controlled externally but remotely adjusting its inputs volume.
