ART SPLITMix4 Four Channel Passive Splitter/Mixer

The SPLITMix4 is a fully passive hybrid mixer that offers a wide variety of configurations. Mix 4 stereo input channels down to 1 stereo output, split a stereo input signal to distribute 4 stereo output channels, or combine the configurations for a wide range of applications. You can even configure the SPLITMix4 as 4 stereo input channels thru 4 independent level attenuators to 4 stereo output channels. Independent stereo level controls are provided on each channel. All 1/4" connections are stereo TRS (Tip, Ring, Sleeve) and all channel connections have intelligent switching to allow for a wide variety of configurations. Plugging into a mix input channel removes it from the splitter bus, and plugging into a splitter output channel removes it from the mix bus. Stereo or mono operation is determined by the type of 1/4" plug and cabling that you use. The fully passive design of the SPLITMix4 has no active circuitry to add noise or distortion, and virtually any signal level can be handled. The Level attenuators cover a wide range and offer over 90 dB of attenuation and channel isolation. The SPLITMix4 is designed primarily as a line level device with medium input and output impedances.

Specifications: • Frequency response: 20 Hz – 20 kHz, ±1 dB • THD: <0.005% @ 1 kHz (typical) • Phase response: <10° @ 20 kHz • Input/Output connections: 1/4" TRS stereo • Input impedance: 25k - 100k Ohms • Output impedance: 1k - 4k Ohms • Insertion loss: 12 dB (typical) • Maximum attenuation: >90 dB (typical) • Channel isolation: >90 dB (typical) • Power requirements: None (fully passive) • Dimensions: 1.85" H x 4.6" W x 4.1" D (47 x 117 x 104 mm) • Weight: 0.84 lbs. ART SPLITMix4 Four Channel Passive Splitter/Mixer
ART SPLITMix4 Four Channel Passive Splitter/Mixer is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product less space usage! This splitter is great. Altho something a techguy like me can prolly do myself, but to get a mould like that, for the price, it can't be beat! Options of the ins & outs are a plus. No noise at all as it is passive, there is no difference in sound plugging this from my main mix out. Bought 2units for me to have more expansion just in case somebody wants to tap my main mix for some audio recording. All in all, am happy about it...very!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works great.I have been looking for a way to lower the hot signal from my pre amp to my power amp for a long time but never did anything about it.I recently purchased a dual CD deck with independent outputs for each section but my preamp only has one CD in and all my other inputs are filled. This mixer is very flexible and with one unit it solved both issues by allowing me to use 1 ch to lower the output from the preamp independently from the mixer buss which I used to combine the 2 deck outputs and it gave me a third input to be used at a later date.I have no noticeable degradation of signal quality and as per the device info, it is not powered and has no circuitry to color the signal (other than the rheostat which I have found to be nutural)It is very easy to setup requiring you to only plug in your devices and set the ouput level. The build quality is high and it feels very smooth and solid in operation. This is a nice unit and it is well worth the price

Can this convert a stereo signal to two mono signals?

Asked by: eliteavsak
Yes. It can actually give you up to 4 mono outputs.

Mono input, Stereo output?

If I have a mono input, will it be sent to both L/R stereo output channels? I presume yes and in that case, will this work without conflict to other stereo inputs? Thanks.
Asked by: Anonymous
The specifications lead to support that you can input a mono signal and it will go to both L and R. Based on the design allowing this, there should be passive circuitry to keep it from interfering from other true stereo signals.
