Acoustic Research 16 AWG Speaker Wire 50 ft.
Acoustic Research 16 AWG Speaker Wire 50 ft. is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cable!Sounds clean, easy to strip, good quality, great price! My only complaint is the positive/negative markings are spaced rather far apart so if you cut the cable right before a marking you have to trace the cable back quite a ways to see which side is positive etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Affordable, No ComplaintsI used this wire for a small car subwoofer and to wire my door and rear deck speakers. I really don't have anything to say about it, it works great, no complaints. Having the jacket marked for positive is great too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good WireI used the wire for my small car subwoofer. Works great and has the positive jacket marked the whole way down the wire.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good speaker wire.Outside of the inability to clearly see the polarity markings, this is a great wire. Allows me to make one home run length instead of having to splice in different pieces of various gauges and colors.

Acoustic Research 16 AWG Speaker Wire 50 ft.

Is this wire all copper or copper clad aluminum or something else?

Asked by: mikeynov1
Since this is a buyout item there is very limited information regarding its build quality. It appears to be copper clad, but I cannot be sure, nor do I know what the base material is on this cable.

Is this a true copper wire or copper coated aluminum? Is it OFC (oxigen free coper)?

Asked by: ohio customer
This is copper clad aluminum construction,
