Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked really well...Had to boost an HD signal over 200' of RG6 cable. Worked well for projector and 3 LCD TVs. No breakups in picture and sound. Very pleased with the performance. Does run quite hot though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for fringe DTV areasWe bought this for our camper in Wilmington. We now pickup 2-3 times more stations. Our camper antenna is already amplified, and I had doubts about its ability to pull in more stations. Apparently DTV signals are good candidates for lots of amplification. We now pick up Columbus, Dayton and Cincinnati.

25 dB UHF-VHF-FM Distribution Amplifier TA-25

My problem is DTV signals that break up and stations that I can't get whose transmitters are at same location as ones I can.

I am comparing Pico TA25 at $26 to Channel Plus DA-500A at $53. They both sound like they would work for me but why the price difference? Is the Pico not as good as the Channel Plus. The reviews on both give high ratings. I am using an old rooftop antenna and get two DTV channels well but can't get others.
Asked by: energizer bunny
tv hd is transmitted with similar power and range as old type and you have to gain signal to get better clarity An amp can help but if no signal or close to zero, the amp is multiplying zero and the result is bad picture or in the DTV no picture. a taller antenna, better cables, etc will help ! the higher gain unit could also help. satellite may be your only option for great tv. note ! the FCC has signal strength maps online that will tell you where and how high your antenna has to be to get a certain channel good luck!
