2" Round Frame Mini Speaker 16 Ohm is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from good replacement for inductive amplifiersI think these speakers were designed to fit into battery operated inductive amps such as Progressive Electronics 200EP. This is a very inexpensive replacement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This speaker sounds TERRIBLE!!!I bought 38 of these thinking they would sound nice as good line arrays for the rear speakers of my 5.1 system and i was never more disappointed in my life! now i do understand that this is only rated to 500 Hz and 2W which was fine for me cuz the front right, left and center channel would fill in. so i unhooked all the front speakers and tested these. TEST RESULTS--frequency response with pro EQ adjustment starts to fall of at 700 Hz and lower and 5000 Hz and up and i can't return them because i may of shighty blew them all at once at volume 12 out of 85 on my amp.

In light of your first answer, is a crossover needed to protect from low bass?

Asked by: djjimus
Yes a high pass filter is required for these. The final impedance will determine the values of the crossover components required.

What size box is recommended for 32 of these in a linear array?

Does it make any difference if they are in two rows of 16 in the same box?
Asked by: djjimus
With an Fs and Qts as high as this driver, the enclosure will play no roll other than to prevent it from being an open back speaker. These will not produce anything below about 500 Hz so enclosure size does not matter.
