12V 70mA Lead Lamp 0.2" Dia.
I need to replace bulbs rated at 8v/0.05A from a Sony SQD-2020. I am a novice at electrical repair. Is this bulb a proper replacement, or do I need to add something to make it work properly?
While not a perfect replacement it would work. it ould be less than half the brightness, which in this case may just be a dull red glow, but it would not hurt either the unit or the bulb.

I have a Yamaha integrated amp that uses (2) 12v 60ma bulbs for the power meters. Will this 12v 70ma bulb be OK to use? If so, will it be brighter, about the same, or dimmer than my original?
The 70 mA bulbs will draw slightly more current and be marginally brighter, but you will need to make sure the supply current for the bulbs can handle a 70 mA load.

is the 70mA twice the brightness as the 35mA bulb.
Theoretically yes, it will draw twice the current.
