This is indeed 12 volt DC and 2 amp. Just doublecheck the polarity and the connector size to make sure.

I bought a couple of these along with some DTA-2 amp boards and panel mount DC jacks (item 090-479) but the center pin in the jack seems too big for this adapter. Does PE stock the correct panel mount jack? Thanks

No, The 120-052 uses a 2.1mm connector and the Seagate external drives appear to be powered by USB cables.

The adapter that my piano keyboard has now says "120v 60hz 39 W, output Dc 12V2A, transformer class 2. It will be ok to replace it for this one in EUrope.
Yes this will work fine as long as the plug is the right size. This uses a 2.5mm x 5.5mm plug.

I you wired your two 12v batteries in series you would have 24 volts which is twice the voltage of this power supply, that would not work. Wiring those batteries in parallel would combine their amp hour rating while voltage remains at 12v, however this will most likely not work either.Switching power supplies are quite good at holding a voltage very close to what they are rated, this means you get a power supply that gives you say 12.2 volts when rated for 12v. In compairson a power supply that uses a transfomer and rectifier will give a higher voltage then it is rated while not under load say 14-15 volts when rated for 12.What does this all mean? Most 12 volt batteries charge up in the range of 13-14.5 volts and if this power supply holds a constant voltage around 12v it will not charge a 12v battery.I suggest you get yourself a proper battery charger designed for the type of batteries you are using.
