Rated 5 out of 5 by from solid productI just installed the speakers for my daughter. I need an amplifier or receiver to test them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lacks low endI have an old pair of Technics 3-way floor speakers. A picture of the model is attached.I've replaced all the speakers except for the woofer because I didn't want to ruin the esthetic and the original woofer was decent. I was excited when I found these speakers which looked like a perfect match.I swapped out the woofer on one of the cabinets so I could compare the before and after sound. Unfortunately these speakers do not have much low end. I tested with Fleet Foxes, Pink Floyd and the Bloody Beatroots and I could not get anything out of them. A huge portion of the bottom end was missing while the original woofer sounded great. I have to ship them back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 10" Square Frame Paper Cone WooferI couldn't see buying brand new floor speakers for one blown woofer speaker. Parts Express had the exact speaker I needed and reasonably priced so I bought two speakers! The speakers were shipped within a week and the replacement of the speakers was easy. There was no re-drilling or reinventing the wheel, it was just plug & play! The new 10" woofer speakers sounds GREAT, better then the original OEM speakers!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Be careful how loud you play these!!!!!I have a Pioneer receiver hooked to these! When I turn them up they pop and snap and bottom out !! They Will not handle very much power at all !! Be aware of this or you will destroy them ! You get what you pay for!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent speakers and warming up nicelyI've had these speakers for a few weeks now and the sound is warming up nicely. I put them in a cabinet with zero port and they sound great. I wanted some woofers that could handle the lower frequencies so as to not need a sub but also I was on a tight budget. So bascially I had to purchase these. So far the sound is fantastic and they can play loud. I must say I was also drawn to them due to their unique apperance. The white looks great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great speaker for an unusual applicationI did not get this driver as a loudspeaker, but to be used as a low frequency microphone when recording kick drum parts in my studio. The speaker's efficiency and voice coil size make it perfect for capturing the low bass of the kick drum.Compared to other loudspeaker drivers, this is an incredible bargain.

Whats the difference between RMS AND MAX in power handling?

Asked by: Jazzlar
RMS power is considered continuous although it is not usually wise to drive a speaker at this level for long periods of time. Max power simply means it is the threshold for damage.

this VS GRS...

what would be the better choice this one or the GRS 10" for a old fisher 3-way tower speaker that is 34" H x 12" W x 10.5" D with a 2" x 8" port tube?
Asked by: speaker freack
This is a bit tricky as neither woofer models very well in a vented cabinet that small. If you were to keep it ported, the better of the two would be the square frame woofer. If you were to seal up the port the GRS would be a better option.

What is the size and thread count of the hole in back of the magnet?

Asked by: BenA
The hole in the back of this driver measures approximately 15mm. It is not threaded, it is simply there to vent the motor structure.
