Peerless CSX Series The high quality CSX line features Peerless' "Composite Sandwich Cone", which improves the accuracy and consistency of sound reproduction over the entire frequency range. CSX baskets are attractive, extra thick, rattle-free stamped steel, allowing woofers to be easily mounted — no countersinking necessary. Enlarged basket windows minimize rear deflection interference. New "Linear Restoring Force" spiders maintain consistent frequency response over the entire power range — even at lowest volumes. Inverted, non-reflecting dustcaps minimize distortion created from edge interference. Longer voice coils increase linear excursion without self-induction. These drivers also feature a "distortion killer" shorting ring in the voice coil magnet system, by eliminating the alternating field superimposed on the static field, maintaining consistent coil current throughout excursion range and reducing CD offsets of the coil due to non-symmetrical forces. |
