Dayton RS270S-8 10" Reference Shielded Woofer 8 Ohm

When I got a pair of these for my project one came not working. The other one sounded great with tight and deep bass. Parts Express did give a refund. I ended up getting a pair of Peerless buyout drivers instead that fit the project a bit better. The Peerless SLS have better venting, cost less, have stronger tabs, coated paper cone(less break up) and more Xmax(and more inductance), where the Dayton are more efficient, lower resonance, aluminum cones, lower Qts and a cast frame. I got four Peerless for about $10 than the Daytons and all of them worked perfectly though packaging was scary. In the end that a dollar per decibel--a price I'd pay any day of the week.

I purchased this woofer on reviews and looks, and i was not dissapointed. I have used this large woofer in a three way setup as a centre speaker would you beleave! and the bass is extremely clean. I would highly recommend this driver.

I'm pleased with these woofers. Used them to replace OEM drivers on a pair of AR-2's for my friend. They rock again.
