Testing Loudspeakers Book

If you were not a Technician this book would be overwhelming, fortunately I am an electronics Tech this book is right up my alley, some of the testing is a little dated, using lissajous figures, pronounced lisashoe, most scopes these days do not use X and Y inputs to determine frequency or phase angle difference, I do have a couple of older scopes that run in the 20 to 60 MHZ range that can diplay lissajous figures,for checking phase angle and frequency,using vertical and horizontal inputs, now days we have digital and analog multiple trace Oscopes,also D-APP should include some more info for the uninformd about LCR meters,multimeters, Scopes Digtal and analog,ammeters, frequency generators,spectrum analyzers, the basics of electronics, also the computer section is very dated the advances in the last 12 years have been pretty amazing compared to Windows 98, my first programs for speaker building were for my commodere 64 back in 82 and they worked pretty well, also box design along with material selection would have been a good topic to use in testing loudspeakers in and out of enclosures, the book needs some updating and a more practical guidelines for test stand setup, still a very good book....

This book is written in a very precise & orginized manner. For the totally devoted. This book is a treat. For anyone who wants to know & understand any & all of the different testing methods as well as to their functions & effects, THIS is it. I doubt that there is a better book out there. Written in plain English, easy to follow & understand & hands down the best book out there. You won't get a education like this in any school or university. Thank you very much Dr D'Appolito
