Bash 300W Digital Subwoofer Amplifier

I was really happy when I found this amp. In fact I was so happy I immediately ordered three of them, without ever having hear one play.

In retrospect that might have been a bit rushed. Because when I got them I discovered that they were 120Vac only. Which was a problem for me, since we have 230Vac here in Sweden.

Anyway, since it was a digital amp with a switched mode power supply (basically digital too). I figured it shouldn't be too hard to convert it to run on 230Vac.
I set about studying the input circuit and soon discovered two jumper wires that needed to be replaced with another wire. And really, that's how simple it was. I'll post a pic or two for anyone else who might want to convert one. Just go to www.jjensen.se/bash_300s.html

Oh, and yes. It really is a great little amp. you won't be disappointed.

I bought this to replace a burnt out amp on a Klipsch Promedia 5.1 subwoofer since I liked the speakers and already had a surround receiver. It has performed beautifully so far. It doesn't get hot, and the Volume and Frequency cutoff knobs make it extremely easy to adjust the woofer for various environments (I like to crank the bass on xBox games). The "auto" power feature is pretty nice, and installation was a snap. The flat outside profile provides a clean look, and the inside of the unit, while lacking a metal enclosure, isn't very deep so you can drop it into an existing enclosure without much trouble.

This is the first plate amp I've ever installed and it was a breeze. I highly recommend it if you need an amp for an office or a family room. It gets plenty loud, although larger installations would probably require 500 watts or more.

I built an addition on my house and found that my working pb12 just didn't have the bang for a 22'x 22' room. So I found one on craigslist with a blown amp for $50 and put one of these in and was soooo impressed with it that I replaced the other one too! THE BASS IS INCREDIBLE!!!If you can use a sabre saw,screwgun,and glue, You can fix yours too!This amp BLOWS THE JBL OUT OF THE WATER COMPLETELY!!!! NO COMPARISON!! I scabbed in pieces of 3/4" oak in mine.This was a $400 sub 10 years ago, for $200 I have a sub that will hang with any sub on the market that costs $500 to $800. Find a blown pb12 and fix it. You wont be disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!
