Dayton SUB-120 HT Series 12" 150 Watt Powered Subwoofer

I have been building my own speakers for years that wow people but I must say I set a pair of these Sub's in between my speakers and WOW they are absolutely AWESOME Great bass nice and tight also very smooth. I could not be happier. Thanks for a great product.

I use this subwoofer with a set of Cambridge Sound Works Model 6 bookshelf speakers and result is spectacular. The total cost of the these three speakers was $220 and they sound better than any speakers I've ever owned--including a pair of Acoustic Research AR3As! Music is crystal clear and the bass is very nicely filled in by this sub.

Be sure and try flipping the "Reverse Phase" switch on the sub. Using a standard RCA cable to connect this sub to my receiver resulted in the sub being out of phase with my main speakers. I could hear the difference immediately and the receiver's automatic setup using an area microphone confirmed the phase mismatch.

This is a fantastic value and I recommend this 12 inch sub woofer over the slightly less expensive 10 inch from Parts Express.

I am using this sub in a small gym with exercise machines driven by an Onkyo receiver and B&W speakers. Though the 8 or 10 sub would have been sufficient, I decided for the 12 in case I needed to use it in different environments. The larger the driver diameter, the better the passive gain with improved lower end response (if the wife factor is not an issue). This sub puts out some serious bass. I have not done any comparison performance testing (though I own a 15 Velodyne in my home theater) but can state with confidence that you cannot go wrong with this unit (especially for this price).
