I used one of these with the Dayton 100watt plate amp in a sealed 14" cubed box that I built. The bass output is outstanding! Very smooth and deep, not boomy or muddy at all. I am using it in my home theater system to fill in the low end, and let me tell you, does it ever! I put it through some test runs using different movie clips from transformers and it sounds incredible. I watched Avatar and the sound quality is litterally unmatched by every movie theater in my town! If you are looking for an inexpensive but very high quality subwoofer for home theater use, i would highly recommend this sub.
