The Dayton Reference Series subwoofers take the quality and performance of the much acclaimed RS line into the subwoofer realm. As with the rest of the Reference Series, the main focus of these subwoofers is ultra-low-distortion. Second, third, and intemodulation distortion are kept extremely low by utilizing three short-circuit paths within the motor structure. A durable aramid fiber spider and extensive venting throughout provide quiet and uniform excursion. The black anodized cone, rubber surround, and custom basket give this driver a unique, high-end look. Installed these in custom made well braced 7 cf cabinets per recommendation by PE tech crew. Used 3 3"x10" pvc pipe for efficiency and tuning. Playing a 30hz test tone will shake the walls. These drivers look to be very well made, and my hopes are they will hold up well. So far all is great!!

GSX-R Rider from Unknown Location

I built four subs using this 15" HF driver in individual 4.5 cubic ft sealed boxes. These subs sound amazing for music AND home theater. Music was my primary concern and that is where this sub really excels. Incredibly tight and distortion free. They can take a good deal of power as well as I am using an EP4000 in 2 ohm stereo (1250x2 RMS). There may be a better sub out there for music but I have a feeling you will have to spend 3-4 times more per driver to get it!

Hometheater guy from northern ny

Great Speaker, very clean response well built, heavy. Just the ticket for hometheater use where
low distortion is important. Handles 500 watts rms nicely but, will shake the house.
