DISCONTINUED Tang Band W4-654S 4" Shielded Driver

This is a 4" woofer with a phase plug, not a full range driver. As a woofer, it takes a while to break in before the bass gets going, and its fantastic. Due to its size, you use a port tube about as big around as your thumb. Its necessary to maintain a bit of pressure in the box to prevent xmax. The box needed is much smaller than the specs state.
It will almost shake the house, and it really gets the low notes.
For crossover, its similar to the usual 6" or 8" driver in that there's a 3k peak, which is why I say its a fantastic woofer, but not a full ranger.
Great bass in an tiny box.

Although these are more suitable for a ported cabinet, I put have these running full range in sealed cabinets for WAF. They don't make it near 20kHz, but a 5/8" tweeter crossed high made no difference to my ears. I was pleasantly surprised at how low these small drivers play, but don't expect them to rock the house.

Very nice sounding paper driver and inexpensive to boot. I won 3rd place at Iowa in 2006 and used the User zigzag (yellow/black) 8" and a TB tweeter. I got very favorable reviews from this setup.
