DISCONTINUED Vifa D27TG-05 1" Silk Dome Tweeter

I rebuilt a pair of Infinity RS2001 using the 3/4' version of this Vifa line. But recently realized a loss in the upper midrange. I tried replacing them with this 1" version and was surprised of the results. It seems to work great at 3500 Hz with a 12dB xover. No loss at the xover point. Same top range performance, nice and crispy but smooth. A perfect simple replacement for a two way system like the Infinity line. A modification needed to fit but totaly worth it.

These tweeters are very good and the sound is great!!!

I originally was going to use the Vifa 3/4" Poly Dome Tweeters for my 10" 3-way Tower Speaker project using complete 6dB x-over network. They were out of stock, so after careful consideration I settled on these and am very pleased I did.

They aren't harsh, fairly smooth instead of axis. They do a decent job for the $ of hitting most frequencies without & real dip in dB's. They've handled everything I've thrown at 'em so far with ease including my father's torture test using his old Yamaha M-80 Amp & C-80 preamp. They are spec'd quite high for power handling which to me is a +. I would definitely buy again for both sound & value. Vifa thus far has been good to me.
