Zinc knock-in style nuts are great for use in wooden speaker enclosures or with other, less T-nut friendly materials. The unique zinc alloy construction makes them non-magnetic so they will not be constantly attracted to the back of your speakers. The barbed design is great for use with composites, plastics, or castings where a standard T-nut just won't work. By heating the nut, it can be permanently secured in a thermoplastic housing, or it can be molded into place while fiberglassing a custom box. These nuts are very handy to have around the workshop. Recommended hole size is 9/32".

Holds Large Speakers Tight

I use these type of nuts to attach all my speakers to their cabinets. They hold even the largest drivers securely in place. No worry about screws pulling through the wood or loose vibrating sounds.

I've yet to find a better deal on these inserts, online or in-person. Their hold power is quite nice in MDF. I use them for mounting speakers, and the torque that was required to spin them was more than I would use to mount a large driver.
