Zinc knock-in style nuts are great for use in wooden speaker enclosures or with other, less T-nut friendly materials. The unique zinc alloy construction makes them non-magnetic so they will not be constantly attracted to the back of your speakers. The barbed design is great for use with composites, plastics, or castings where a standard T-nut just won't work. By heating the nut, it can be permanently secured in a thermoplastic housing, or it can be molded into place while fiberglassing a custom box. These nuts are very handy to have around the workshop. Recommended hole size is 7/32".

Not much can go wrong with a nut. It holds fast, but be sure to keep the hole slightly smaller than the claws so it can dig in to the wood. Be sure you count the pieces when it arrives; 42 looks much like 50.
